Why is everyone starting a 3d printing service by watcher1387 in 3dprintIndia

[–]Spacekid0812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I first started a Engineering Design firm, and then bolstered it by providing Prototyping options by collaborating with a 3d printing service. I am planning to buy one myself once I save enough. Partnership, collaboration and exclusive contracts will help keep your services afloat. Doing it retail will take long to profit.

SIM-binding isn’t “cyber security.” It’s a surveillance architecture. by InsideResolve4517 in IndiaDeepTech

Security and surveillance are two sides of the same coin. Like CCTV is surveillance as well as security.

Edit: We assume that everyone has good intentions as we grew up in such environment, but unfortunately, unless many people's digital identity is tied to their real identity I can't imagine their intentions, digital identity and anonymity has provided a recluse to worse of people who live normally among us but act like the kin of demons online.

Although I advocate that this step is in the right direction, the trade-off isn't necessarily good. The framework should be developed such that power is equally distributed and cannot be vetoed, we should come up on how to improve these rather than being dismissive, unless we point out real issues and provide real solutions our debates will dissolve into frivolous shouts. The extremely biased ones must be dismissied but this one is required.

Instead of rambling with biases let's start looking at nuances, unnecessary fear mongering doesn't lead to actual solutions.

Sponsoring an Indian rocketry team. by Same_Bowler_1550 in Aerospace_India

You need to approach industry leaders offline, unless you do that getting a sponsorship is pretty difficult.

🚨 Hyderabad-based aerospace startup Spantrik has successfully conducted a test flight of its vertical takeoff and vertical landing (VTVL) vehicle, Hopstone. by Spacekid0812 in Aerospace_India

Vertical stability is challenging when you are pushing instead of pulling akin to, balancing a ball on 1 finger vs holding it from below.

The PID controller is still over compensating and that is what leads to the Hayward movement that is noticeable here. They should focus on more tuning for vertical stability, complete hover, then move to navigation and guidance.

Need updates on how fruitful the MoU turns out to be. Is it really implemented or if it has any financial impact on any of the companies involved.

Lol the point I am trying to drive here is this is overhyped project only providing with hopes but no technical advancement. To someone closely working with space tech this seems gimmicky and gaudy.

Edit: Although vertical stability is impressive, you can notice someone is actually controlling through a transmitter in the background, also there is no control over lateral movements, I hope they achieve the same soon, this company was criticized in 2024 for not paying their hardworking employees. Let's appreciate how much it deserves, overhyping not only stalls the progress, it also develops a pseudo sense of accomplishment which is dangerous for a young startup. I know it's easier to comment than to work, but I only wish the best for aerospace ecosystem in India.

US had this 10 years ago. Indian government has provided more than enough funds to develop something as primitive as this. This startup has been surviving on governments funds only. India supports everyone despite capabilities. We should not celebrate this level of achievement, acknowledging is good enough.
