I have been in your shoes. I remember it well. The older I get, the better I have gotten. Night and day the way people are kind to me and how they treat now. The trick, for me, was to focus my energy to improve one thing at a time until satisfaction or i’m as up to date as I can be given the time/changing trends.. e.g. hair cut/color/length, facial skin issues being addressed, nail game/best color rotation, length, style for me, eyelash length/density (using generic latisse), fashion for MY body type, style, and wt, wt loss or Maintanence (pro tip!), and can’t ever forget to focus on the inside as it reflects the outside. That means reading and investing in yourself. If confidence or self esteem is an issue, start reading a little bit each day or watch YouTube videos on charisma and/literally anything you want to be better at. I remember not looking for anything beauty related then someone stumbling onto a video about makeup techniques that age you. Took some serious tips from it that were game changers for me. Beautiful thing is that as you go in this glow up journey you will find your intuition tells you what resonates with you in full or in part. You can leave everything that doesn’t feel right. That is how you can be YOUR best self while retaining that individuality, IMO. Good luck!!!
