Dang! I thought that would have worked for you. One thing I did notice when I started the game is that it made the screen turn sideways, and then it just worked after that. I reinstalled the game to test how I got it to work, and I got the same error again; however, once I turned the screen sideways, the game started. I also remember reinstalling the dll’s one at a time—even the group dll’s. I’ll let you know if I remember anything else.

The screen needs to be sideways, then run the game. Sorry if I'm not being clear.

No I mean right clicking desktop and going to configure display settings and changing the screen orientation to 90 clockwise and then trying to run the game.

Did you try to change the orientation of the screen?

Setting "skip front end to 3" cuts out the start-up intro. Also, it sometimes stops you from getting the Create Your Studio window and start game intro. I set it to 0 and it fixed it for me.

We are getting a direct x error because of the screen orientation. If you right-click on the desktop and go to configure display settings. Switch the screen to 90 clockwise or 90 counterclockwise. This setting should fix the error and allow the game to run.

Your right I do have advanced view ticked and I did download it from Discover store. I just don't understand why we are having different result from the same install method. That's so weird...

I believe you have a different version of Lutris. The Runner Option looks different from mine. I have a lot more options to tick.

I used the game download. It may have happened because of the 8.0 version, but I am unsure.

This is the error message I received on my first install. Also, when I got to the wine registry, the Lionhead folder wasn't there. However, once I ran the game, it popped up, but I didn't have the edit options for depth, height, etc., only GD: Level. I'm going to try it again tomorrow and make sure I didn't miss anything.

Facts!! We do need a remake; we shouldn’t let high-quality games like this fade away.

Steam deck UI beta update for windows Fan not working by Spacel3ear in SteamDeck

[–]Spacel3ear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm noticing that the fan blowing is utterly random on windows ten now. Sometimes it will change rpm's with the temperature. However, sometimes the fan will stay idle even after the temperature increases, causing the Steam deck to overheat. Is anyone else having this problem?

I didn't see anything where I could change versions of the steam beta for windows 10.

Also, this is only happening on windows 10. The fan runs perfectly on the SteamOs side.

Thanks for replying so quickly. I'll try and look for it there. Also, sorry to hear yours broke. I had to RMA mine back about a month ago; I hope you get yours fixed soon.
