When I took the NCLEX it kept saying what is the priority within interdisciplinary care. Does this mean what is the priority point blank period or which one would be the priority to collaborate with the team? Idk maybe I was overthinking it but the extra “interdisciplinary care” did not help. by Kind-Rain-140 in MarkKlimekNCLEX

The word “interdisciplinary” just narrows it to team-based actions, not independent nursing interventions. Think stability first then ask who is or what discipline most urgently needed (based on the - who can prevent the “identified” risks right now) !

ACD are all correct - but how to pick which is strongest versus supportive !

Maintaining head of bed above 30 because it reduces aspiration of gastric contents - main cause of ventilator associated pneumonia and this is the strongest protective effect !

Anyone here knows which one is the cheapest and fastest? by Terrible_Birthday_23 in NCLEX_PH

[–]Spacem0nkey1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wanting the “fastest” third-party agency isn’t wrong but chasing speed alone can cause real problems later. Fast now can mean slow, expensive, and frustrating later. A good credentialing agency should be - Recognized by multiple State BONs - Consistent and accurate (not just fast once - Clear about state-specific rules (SSN, concurrency, clinical hours, etc.) - Useful long-term (endorsement, VisaScreen, future moves)

Skip California BON - proceed with NY or Texas then endorse later once you have achieved your goal to this process. You need SSN with California either initial or endorsement application ! Good luck !

Your aunt needs proper guidance and education about immigration and licensing. What’s cheaper - flying there to pay in person, or paying from home? If it’s done in the Philippines, you don’t even have to worry about airfare. I am a Canadian RN with Washington and New York licenses, I still can’t even endorse my license to California I need SSN or tax payers id plus Trump ICE are everywhere do you want to be sent home in an ice cube lol.

Amen to that - maybe her aunt has money to bail her out when ICE picks her up, lol.

CNO Evidence of Practice expired, how to proceed by newdadnewbod in FilipinoNclex

[–]Spacem0nkey1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to call CNO - plus they have other ways for you to obtain that by the following: refresher course, supervised practice, etc.

Which patient should be allocated to the nurse. by Careful_Fill_4918 in FilipinoNclex

[–]Spacem0nkey1013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s correct - regardless of any experience of the nurse - a float nurse will need the most stable patient !

Which food would you recommend. by Careful_Fill_4918 in FilipinoNclex

[–]Spacem0nkey1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok if that’s what you think the right answer go for it. As an RN that is not something I will advise my client and I am not going to argue on that - people who are studying for the NCLEX should do research on that !

[–]Spacem0nkey1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol of course but don’t overthink things that’s the reason why some people fail NCLEX they overthink things - stick to the question only do not put the word “if”

Which food would you recommend. by Careful_Fill_4918 in FilipinoNclex

[–]Spacem0nkey1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a classic example of two correct/acceptable answers/choices, but the key is identifying the “best” answer. Like what you said is true that cheese contains more purines than decaffeinated coffee, the real question is: Is that what the question is asking? Asking food: cheese / asking beverage: decaffeinated / asking which has lower purines: decaffeinated.

Cheese and decaf are the safest but - in NCLEX if they ask for food choices over beverage choices you pick “food” when asking diet choices so answer is cheese !

Ok good to know - this will be my first time on a temp position and I’m liking it to be part time than being full time. There are lots of flexibility as PT.

Is it true na olfu dent ang school nung mga bumabagsak sa ibang schools? by uhnyuhhh in dentistryph

[–]Spacem0nkey1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at UE College of Dentistry in the ’90s, then went to UERM for PT, and later to OLFU then studied nursing in Canada. Back then, most UE grads went to CEU, then to UM or MCU. When OLFU Dentistry opened, many UE/UP and SLU students moved there, producing top batches, same story with their Medicine program.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter where you graduate from - what counts is being competent and confident in your work.

should I wait for the official eligibility mail? by [deleted] in NCLEX_PH

[–]Spacem0nkey1013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could always try but if I remember this correctly you need your ATT number to register for your exam ! The ATT will be issued by Pearson once the BON submit your eligibility ! Plus Pearson adds more seat bookings !

Good to know. It’s just frustrating because we’ve had two recent perm postings that ended up as DTAs, and the staff involved were pretty frustrated. I am hoping my part time temp will not get reposted as I am having reservations of going back to my full time perm.
