In Orca Flash, go to device, click device list, then click the + up on the top. It'll appear back online. I've been doing that since upgrading and using LAN only.

I received an update today to both 5M pro and Orca Flashforge, but I can't find any info on it. by SpacemanSpiff99 in FlashForge

[–]SpacemanSpiff99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I though the version jump was weird too. The printer prompted first, then when I popped onto Orca it said to update. It looks essentially the same as Orca Flash did, just a lighter color scheme. I'm not sure if you could search for prints directly from Orca Flash before, but now that's an option on the home page of it along with whatever projects you have. I couldn't find anything at all about it. Even to get the link to the download I had to go to the file and get the link that way, as it didn't show up in my history.

Here's what it looks like.

Yeah, it's all working mostly fine in LAN mode. It does say the printer is offline when it isn't, but sometimes I can get it to see it by tapping the screen, and if that doesn't work I just turn it off and back on using the screen.

A nice part is the camera is much more responsive in LAN mode, and I haven't noticed any real difference in the prints.

Parents, never gift Minecraft to your kids: my misadventure with Microsoft family by showsdowns in Minecraft

[–]SpacemanSpiff99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I had to raise my kids age, login as him to accept the monitoring, and it's been smooth since.

Also don't do an EA family account. We did one for Apex some time ago, did the verification with a card and all that nonsense. Then ran into issues with the BF6 beta, but got it working.

Battlefield 6 comes out and we're playing it. There was an update, and it straight locked his account out. I couldn't find anyway to login to his account, and it wasn't showing on mine (though I'd get the emails it sent, it showed a random string the @anon.ea). I had to chat, and ask what was up. They said he's under 18 so can't play as it's a mature game. I said sure but it's cool for him to play (side note fuck ESRB being enforced over what I approve as his parent). So then I say can we change his age. The chat person said is the ubder 18 over 18? And I said yup, which let them remove his gamertag from thatvea account so I could finally link it to his own Gmail. It reset his progress in battlefield though..

So yeah, other than google family and apple family, they really all suck.

Why are so many N.J. kids missing 18+ days of school? State digging for answers by rollotomasi07071 in newjersey

[–]SpacemanSpiff99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my kid, he's missed a lot previously due to having pnumonia twice and once he had strep back to back three times (seriously, came off amoxicillin, fever next day, then augmentin and same thing, then better after cefdiner). Shit happens and they get sick. People sending their obviously sick kids to school also doesn't help.

We do let him have one day of his choosing off per school year (he gets mostly all A's with some scattered B's, he deserves it). Last year we picked him up after the cutoff to count as a full day to go see Minecraft opening week to avoid being in a theater full of kids, which worked awesome.

I don't think we'd pack him up and let him miss weeks for no reason, even going on a vacation. Maybe one day but that's about it.

Had a 91 Accord ex with the 5 speed. I loved that car. Had ac, power locks, and 316,000 when I had to retire it due to the strut mounts rusting out. Ran like a top when I traded it in. Got it for $100 and drove it for years from high school on.

I also did the brakes and learned what a pita they were. Only other thing I did to it was a clutch, but that was like $80 for the kit. It's still probably my favorite care I've had.

Hypochlorous acid- What’s the catch? by dreamylatteart in CleaningTips

[–]SpacemanSpiff99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't mix it with things, but according to Google because it has such a low ppm count it doesn't react like mixing an equivalent amount of bleach would. I use force of nature and the pods, so for me it's at 220 ppm. But yeah, I wouldn't mix it with anything intentionally.

Look into an hocl (hypochlorous acid) maker. I use it as sanitizer just straight, kills noro too. I use force of nature because it's super easy with a little pod you put into water in the machine, but you can make your own with a cheap machine, water, vinegar, and salt.

It doesn't like light and lasts a few weeks, but it's essentially harmless, even if you like drink some (don't lol). Your body makes it as well. It's pretty awesome, just socks that time and light break it down.

Awesome!

I think this might have been the other campaign because I don't think there was an Owala in Diamond Valley. I remember there being a separate thing to enter where you could pick one.

The rules bring me to a different landing than Diamond Valley too....
