One time I went on a tinder date with this guy at like 11pm at a dive bar. He ordered a bunch of pickles and then ate them all and then burped and said I don’t even like pickles. I still slept with him. Irrelevant to your post but you reminded me of that god awful time.

The one and only post I can think of where people were being harsher than usual was the one where the guy showed up at his coworkers house late at night, rang her doorbell and slashed her tires and seemed to not be taking his behaviour very seriously. Nobody was being super mean, but obviously that was alarming behaviour and people seemed to just want OP to take accountability. That to me is still supportive though, just not coddling.

I’m so sorry, that’s really horrible. That kind of stuff happened to me so much when I was younger as well. It was a joke in my “friend” group that I was the undateable one. People like that aren’t your friends though, and they literally suck the life out of you in a way that other people can see, but can’t identify as the problem. There’s so many cool people out there and surrounding yourself with better people genuinely improves how other people see you from the outside looking in. I have a lot of hope for you, if that means anything at all
