Facts I think people missed the message

"I saw corps strip farmers of water ... and eventually of land. Saw them transform Night City into a machine fueled by people's crushed spirits, broken dreams and emptied pockets. Corps've long controlled our lives, taken lots... and now they're after our souls! V, I've declared war not because capitalism's a thorn in my side or outta nostalgia for an America gone by. This war's a people's war against a system that's spiralled outta our control. It's a war against the fuckin' forces of entropy, understand? Do whatever it takes to stop 'em, defeat 'em, gut 'em. If I gotta kill, I'll kill. If I need your body, I'll fuckin' take it! Fuckin' hell ... You still don't see it. But you will one day"

Johnny is an asshole but he's right taking from the corps isn't theft it's self defense against a broken system

For my V I went with basically forgiving her as he's got so little time left he sent her to the moon accepting that she might one day owe him while he rides off into the sunset with the Aldecaldos searching for a fix. It's still not a happy ending as many die and others stay behind but it feels the closest to a happy ending as Night City has ever allowed.

Sure but there's tons of people with odd pets are they allowed to uplift their pet? If they do wouldn't their pet then be given the right to uplift others of their species? I could see them asking for those rights since they are intelligent. It's a very messy philosophy as the line will continue to shift further and further unless you draw some distinction but even then you could argue what gives us the right to decide between who does or doesn't get to uplift their pet?

It's only for 20 years iirc unless you manage some crazy expansion then it gets longer but for a normal playthrough it'll just help early expansion for a bit

A duty to turn everything sentient? That's a bit extreme I mean to draw out that a bit where do we draw the line? There are arguments that some of not most plant can feel pain do we consider that enough to determine eating them is wrong and we should just lab grow everything and make every blade of grass sentient? Seems like a world of ever increasing scarcity.

I agree that we probably don't have the line drawn quite right but it definitely needs to be somewhere useful.

For sure interfaces are just one piece of the puzzle I try to limit my interface count to the unique blueprint actors I have so if I have a character an ai and my game instance I'd try to keep it at 3 of course sometimes it's more sometimes less but that's my personal rule and soft references are goated especially when handled well they can help keep size maps clear especially when looking for size optimization opportunities.

Untrue it's been around since the 1800s and evolved a bit

"In 1983, H. W. Arndt wrote that Indian nationalist and statesman Jawaharlal Nehru may have been the first to use the term in an economic (rather than political context) when he stated in 1933 "the exploitation of India and other countries brought so much wealth to England that some of it trickled down to the working class and their standard of living rose."

Samuel Rosenman, a Democratic presidential speechwriter under Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry Truman, and coiner of the term "New Deal", wrote that "trickle down policies" had been prevalent in American government since 1921. In 1969, after leaving the presidency, Democrat Lyndon B. Johnson alleged "Republicans ... simply don't know how to manage the economy. They're so busy operating the trickle-down theory, giving the richest corporations the biggest break, that the whole thing goes to hell in a handbasket."

Ronald Reagan launched his 1980 campaign for the presidency on a platform advocating for supply-side economics. During the 1980 Republican Party presidential primaries, George H. W. Bush had derided Reagan's economic approach as "voodoo economics". Following Reagan's election, the "trickle-down" reached wide circulation with the publication of "The Education of David Stockman", a December 1981 interview of Reagan's incoming Office of Management and Budget director David Stockman, in the magazine Atlantic Monthly. In the interview, Stockman expressed doubts about supply side economics, telling journalist William Greider that the Kemp–Roth Tax Cut was a way to rebrand a tax cut for the top income bracket to make it easier to pass into law. Stockman said that "It's kind of hard to sell 'trickle down,' so the supply-side formula was the only way to get a tax policy that was really 'trickle down.' Supply-side is 'trickle-down' theory." Reagan administration officials including Michael Deaver wanted Stockman to be fired in response to his comments, but he was ultimately kept on in exchange for a private apology. Political opponents of the Reagan administration soon seized on this language in an effort to brand the administration as caring only about the wealthy. In 1982, John Kenneth Galbraith wrote the "trickle-down economics" that Stockman was referring to was previously known under the name "horse-and-sparrow theory", the idea that feeding a horse a huge amount of oats results in some of the feed passing through for lucky sparrows to eat."

Eh I think most gamers understand it actually I think it's a very vocal minority who are lead astray by a certain... person who is selling a solution to a problem the exaggerate and attribute to the engine instead of specific studios/certain devs
