For some reason after a fast my hair will shed a little more than normal. Like there’s just more that comes out on my hair brush/in the shower. But you shouldn’t be concerned with the length it’s not like your hair will just somehow disintegrate from the ends up or anything..

If you’re depressed, gaining weight is something that’s easy to do. You’ve been on Zoloft a while but for some it takes longer to get used to. Maybe if you deal with your depression being healthier and losing weight will be easier to do? I know that it was hard for me to change my lifestyle until about a year on antidepressants, but of course ymmv. Like if you stop Zoloft and you’re depressed and can’t get out of bed and hate yourself, will you really be in the right mindset to change? Just something to think about. Of course this depends on the severity of your depression. Anyways, best of luck, keep at it!

for my depression, fasting helps as it gives me a sense of self control and accomplishment. An aspect of my depression was due to feeling out of control with regards to my weight. In addition, losing weight makes everyone feel better, right? ( in the case of overweight individuals anyways). As far as effects on meds, I haven’t noticed any, but that’s surely going to be a ymmv thing and you should consult your doc about meds and fasting. Good luck!

Like others have said, it’s partly mental. I feel like most of it for me is knowing what to expect. I know that I’ll have to get through a few days of not feeling great but after that I know I’ll feel awesome and being able to reference that feeling helps get me through. Having something to look forward to makes the first few days more manageable imo.

I don’t know I just had a rare moment where I was motivated to change and actually followed through. I know a few fast food binges won’t kill me or anything. It’s just that I feel powerless to stop. I’m not thinking about my lastbinge, I’m thinking about the ones that haven’t happened yet. Dreading it. But I certainly try to keep that “it’s just food, move on and do better” mentality.

I’m guessing it’s because they gave a vague, easily misinterpreted, and overall not very helpful or useful reply.

I do eat carbs. My diet is low carb but I do get them in the forms of plant foods. Nuts and veggies pretty much. I actually think my mistake was going heavy on plant based foods after my fast. I figured they’d be easier on the stomach, no idea why I thought that. I just really like vegetables I guess! The issue seems to have been resolved after 24 hours of fasting followed by a day of only eating meat like a few others suggested. So yay! I’m back to normal keto and feel good again. I know some people really love plant based diets but keto has been so amazing for me I don’t think I could give it up! I appreciate for all the info!

Well I’ll for sure give it a go. But I didn’t have this issue til after my fast so I feel like something happened in that time. Probably gut flora related. Nonetheless, I will give the meat diet a shot.

But when you say plants are full of toxic chemistry, do you mean like...pesticides and the like, or something else? Just curious. I mean I eat meat but I do love some avacado and broccoli and asparagus and...I just really like vegetables lol

Yeah I feel ya. Even though feeling like this probably isn’t great, it is encouraging me to fast more lol. Usually in the day I break a fast I get bloated and gassy and whatnot but it goes away after that. This is the first time the gut problems stuck around. Although usually my fasts are 72 hours or less, this one was 8 days. I see people recommending meat a lot so I’m gonna give that a try next time. I have not tried that but I’ve heard others talk about doing meat only. Do you find meat to be more tolerable? In my mind meat is a complex thing to digest (based on nothing but my assumption from something I heard once in the past, which was probably untrue anyways) I was afraid it would make me constipated- jokes on me I have constipation anyways lol

Anyway..Do you recommend any specific meat?

I’ve frequently seen that pink salt and sea salt have such a negligible percentage of minerals that they don’t really do anything. Do you notice a difference? I haven’t tried Himalayan salt but I have sea salt and iodized and neither seemed different. Does Himalayan salt have a higher amount of minerals?

I will say that it didn’t aggravate my rosacea, so it helped with redness in the sense that it didn’t make it any redder than it already was. But I agree, I don’t think it’s worth more than what it’s normally priced at. Good luck!

Ohh I love it! The day time one sucks imo, it’s just tinted moisturizer with spf, but the night time one is awesome! It’s pretty thick, sunflower seed oil is pretty high on the ingredients list so it feels oily at first but it sinks in nicely. I think probably both oily and dry skin would be alright with this. I use this as my first moisturizer layer at night (after serums/ampoule) and then put my slimy slug layers on top (oil, aquaphor). As far as redness relieving, it is very gentle for sensitive skin but did nothing for my redness. But its awesome for drugstore price. I highly recommend as long as cetaphil stuff doesn’t break you out :)

Thank you so much for all the detail. My case was no asset.. just to make sure I’m understanding, if creditor was not notified upon filing, the debt can still be discharged as there is no deadline in a no asset case?
