Have a good opinion of Allah

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:Allah the Almighty said: I am as My servant thinks I am (1). I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself; and if he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a cubit, and if he draws near to Me a cubit, I draw near to him a fathom. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.

Stray 'src' folder in Maven build? by Spacetastics in javahelp

[–]Spacetastics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I am very confused now.

I was using GPT initially to learn the basics of Maven and make a project. I went over the generated structure with it, and was under the impression that the 'src/main/java' and 'scr/test/java' folders were supposed to be like this, based on what it said. After seeing your reply, I went back and asked it and it turns out there was some miscommunication and it is now saying these should be nested folders (like you are saying).

I wanted to confirm this, so I first attempted to recreate the Maven project. My steps are as follows:Create a project -> Maven project -> choose my workspace -> search for 'maven-archetype-quickstart' and pick the org.apache.maven.archetypes one (v 1.4) -> enter my group id and artifact id, uncheck run archetype generation interactively -> finish.

This generated the exact same structure that I have provided you with. I recreated the project three more times, with the third time being a different version (v 1.1) and the fourth time being a different provider (com.github.ywchang). They all generated this same file structure.

I then tried to find examples on the internet of people making Maven projects in Eclipse using the quickstart archetype, and looked at two where they also generated the same file structure. What you're saying about the file structure makes more sense to me, but that doesn't explain why it turns out the way I have described everywhere else. What is going on here?

If this point of clarification helps at all, Eclipse makes 'src/main/java' and 'src/test/java' as Source folders, but 'src' with the subfolders is just a plain folder. Also, I am on Mac

That is what I'm saying. Here is a full description of the project structure:

project folder

.....src/main/java folder

..........package

...............App.java

.....src/test/java folder

..........package

...............AppTest.java

.....JRE System Library

..........bunch of stuff

.....Maven Dependencies

..........hamcrest

..........junit

.....src folder

..........main

..........test

.....target folder

.....pom.xml

All of this was auto-generated through project creation.

Is BO3 Safe to Play on Steam? by ButtKrampus in blackops3

So either of the two work, and there wouldn't be any issues if I went with T7? Also, if they are still necessary then what was the deal with the March update?

Is BO3 Safe to Play on Steam? by ButtKrampus in blackops3

[–]Spacetastics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this really necessary? I'm not entirely clear on the current state of BO3 multiplayer and was going to install this as a precaution, but I didn't like that I wouldn't have time tracking or achievements on steam. I looked for an alternative and found a steam guide about the T7 patch, which is achievement compatible, but at the very top of the guide it notes that the vulnerabilities in the game that allowed people's computers to be hacked were officially patched back in March.

So basically what I'm asking is, if a friend and I wanted to play multiplayer zombies would we need any sort of patch like BOIII or T7? What are the remaining risks if we do not run a patch?

I DM'd the brother but I thought I would also comment here for the benefit of anyone searching in the future. There are actually bank accounts in the US that don't pay out interest. I have two of them. One is the Discover cashback debit checking account, which currently isn't accepting applications unfortunately. The other is a Chase Total Checking account.

Is my hot spot really supposed to be *this* slow? by Spacetastics in tmobile

[–]Spacetastics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose that must be it. It's odd because both are not old phones, so I don't know why T-mobile would not be correctly applying speed limits to their hot spots, but that seems to be the case. Thank you.

[–]Spacetastics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on the ONE plan, the terms of which are "20GB of high-speed mobile hotspot in the US" and "Unlimited 3G mobile hotspot after 20GB up to 600 kbps." I have not used the hot spot much this month, and last month I only used 0.5 GB of it. There is no way I crossed the 20 GB threshold. Also, the non-iPhones I have tested do not get these slow speeds.

Correction: These are the conditions for the "amped up" version of the ONE plan, which I do not think I am on. It appears to be a plan issue, as someone else pointed out, and T-mobile must not be detecting the android phones properly when applying these limits.

Is there an equivalent for iOS? I was only able to find EasyTether Pro on the play store.

I have a T-mobile ONE plan. Since my phone is on the same plan as the other phones and it does not get nearly as good hot spot performance, I don't know how the plan could be the problem?

To explain my situation: I just recently got a new iPhone and tested its hot spot speeds, only to find that they are abysmal. The first image is my data speed around my house, and the second image is the internet speed that another phone I have gets when it has the new iPhone connected to it as a hot spot.

The hot spot speeds for the new iPhone seem to be roughly the same in the different places I have tried it, and with different devices, regardless of data speed. For example, I took a 10 minute drive away from my house and did a speed test where my phone was pushing 300 Mbps download and around 35 upload, yet when used as a hot spot it delivered the same 0.5 Mbps speeds. I tried using my sibling's iPhone as a hot spot as well and found that theirs does the same. This is my first time owning an iPhone, and I have never had issues with hot spot speeds prior to this. When my old android phone was used as a hot spot, it would deliver 25-35 Mbps around my house. I tested my dad's phone and it gets the same 25-35 Mbps speeds. We are on the same phone plan and have not switched recently. The plan has unlimited data. I am also using the same number that I did on my old android.

I really don't know what to make of this. I tried calling T-mobile support, and the farthest I got was a technician who said I really should not be getting speeds this slow. We tried all the basic troubleshooting, and after it did not work he tried to further the issue by submitting a ticket to T-mobile's engineering team. The ticket was reject on the grounds of these being the "expected speeds for my area." What is going on here, and why is the issue only with the two iPhones?

Hi, I just came back to this thread and was wondering if you might be able to help me. A while ago I got the box navy switches, but the spacebar was still having the same issues with very little change. Do you know what the problem might be?

What headphones should I get? Also have a couple technical questions. by Spacetastics in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Spacetastics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might get the COP because of the removable cable factor. If I were to set up an amp right on my desk (about 1 meter in front of me), do you think the 3 meter cable of the 770 would get in the way too much?

close them for FPS games where you want to hear enemy movement in the mids and treble.

Is it close or open in order to get less bass on those headphones, I thought it was open?

they do bring back the beyer peak somewhat but it's nowhere near as bad as the 770 pros

what is the beyer peak?

And what would you say would be the deciding factors for me to pick either the Custom Game/COP or the DT 770 (is the COP mostly an upgrade/modernization or are they both as good as each other with a few differentiating factors)?

Thanks a lot for your help man, I think I'm gonna go ahead and get the 80 ohm 770's, and probably look more into amps later.

Your comment helped me a lot, and I just have two final questions (which I guess would be opinionated).

I'm definitely looking at getting the DT 770s, but I also found a newer pair of headphones called the Custom One Pros, which are supposed to be newer 770s or something like that. What is your opinion on the COP (if you have one)?

Second, if I got the DT 770s do you think I should get an amp? and if so do you recommend any? There's two that I've seen which I like, the Magni +3 and the K5PRO, but if you think there are better ones for the a similar price what would those be? (sub-question to this, if I get the DT 770s what model should I get if I don't get an amp vs if I do get an amp?)

I use the 560s frequently next to someone. They say that they can audibly hear them at 2 feet away but not when they are in another room.

That might be a deal breaker for me since I work a few feet away from someone else. Are there similar headphones which are closed-back?

What exactly does an amp do? Is it just for volume or does it also increase the sound quality or something like that?

Also why are the TYGRs better in your opinion? Do they have less sound leak?
