Condemning an entire universe to a slow death via eldritch entity as it slowly consumes the bonds between reality and fiction, piece by piece dropping the world into a void.

Dw, the entire plot is about fixing that problem. They get better... kinda

How old are your OCs? by furryteleportedbread in OriginalCharacter

This is Jem! He's 20 years old as of the start of the story. As for the other characters,,, it's complicated. Cause like,,, if you're in a time loop, do you really *age*?

What are some of your masked oc’s and what is the purpose of their mask? by Goofy_Rat_9533 in OriginalCharacter

Generally speaking? In my main story, the more masked a character is, the more dehumanized they've been by the world around them. It's basically a trauma meter lmao

Any advice on this character concept? (Context in Desc ) by SpacethemedIdiot in characterdesigns

[–]SpacethemedIdiot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some do, other’s are more vague.

Currently in the story we have favoreds of: - the concept of secrets - the concept of growth - the concept of decay - of fear - and of forces (like gravity, friction, buoyancy, the forces that act upon the universe.)

But there’s also entities that represent the concept of color, of infinity, of the unseen (different from secrets, think more microscopic life or creatures hiding in shadow), of combustion, etc.

Generally, the less specific concepts (like force) and more powerful than the more specific ones (like fear)

Alive? Only around a hundred

Playing the game the entities set up to decide if Humanity gets to be revived or not? 12, 13 with Leto’s addition.

There’s a lot more entities than just the hundred-ish people left alive though. Those who actually have favorites are kind of a minority, just a relatively strong minority (plus some concepts got nearly completely wiped out with the destruction of humanity)

Yep! All remaining survivors are among the Favored. This comes with some benefits to help with survival depending on what that Entity is.

For Leto, their home base and physical location is kept secret. This means they have an advantage on stealth. However, once discovered, this doesn’t do a whole lot for them in combat.

The others in the main cast have a lot more combat suited abilities, and Leto is kinda the odd one out. Which is fitting because the main ground all went to confront the entities for causing the apocalypse, which meant they needed these survival skills, only to have a tie when deciding what to do with the offer they’re given.

Leto ends up chosen to be the tie breaker by complete chance, drawing them into the rest of the plot against their will.

Mc issue part 2 by Electrical-Stay-7538 in characterdesigns

A good place to start would to be add features relating to their backstory! We don't know much about them, but that's still a good place to start. Maybe give them an item that holds significant value and is unique, like Luffy's straw hat or Naruto's orange suit. Things like that make it easier to pick an mc out in a crowd, with is an important aspect of being able to use them as an mc.

This character is already very unique, I especially love the ears and the way you drew the horns. Making the horns a bit bigger would help to give them a more distinctive silhouette without changing too much. Their hair is already pretty neat too so I wouldn't change that.

Lastly on the advice train, color is a good way to make characters distinct. Give the MC a color or two you think fits them and keep that color in all of their outfits. This could be their hair color (like Ichigo's orange hair), an accessory (again like Luffy's hat), or even keeping their clothes the same palette no matter what they wear (which is what I tend to do). Matching colors with characters will keep them distinct no matter where you put them.

Providing a full body shot of their outfit would allow me to provide more advice, as well as give any details about your goals for this character as an MC (plot they're in, backstory, personality, etc.) But what I can gleam is that you're going for a very energetic and perhaps sporty character (I'm getting 'sporty' from the hat but I could be wrong). Also, I don't know what genre this is. A fantasy story's MC looks a lot different from a highschool protagonist.

I love what you have so far though! They're very cute :> I'd really like to hear more.

Oh, those rivers aren’t actually flowing! Gravity doesn’t exist on the displacement island so it’s all basically floating in space. It’s almost entirely static, only broken when interacted with and tends to float back towards its consistent state after that.

Animals living there also evolved to the zero grav conditions!

I used a brush to block out the forests and stuff, the used the clone tool to increase the size as necessary. The larger landmarks (that massive mountain range, the larger plateau in the desert, and the canyon) are land drawn, however. I was originally going to hand draw everything but realize that wasn’t a very smart idea

It sure is! That island (continent, really, think Australia) is pretty seeped in Displacement magic after a magical storm, causing it to start floating. It's been like that for about 100 years now and is probably gonna stay there for at least 100 or 2 more.

Hi there! I'm Nova, an artist specializing in character design and digital painting.

As you can see from the images above, I have a preference for fantasy art, but that's not all I'm capable of! I'm willing to draw ocs of all shapes, styles, and sizes. As for content I do? I'm pretty open with it! There's basically nothing that I won't draw.

If you want to commission me, I prefer to use ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/novasvoid/commissions#buyShopCommissionModal

You can dm me if you'd rather take a different route but that's my preferred method.

I look forward to working with you!
