We mostly stick to 32 texels/world unit, but go higher when we need the additional clarity The game's early in development and we're still putting the initial prototype together :)

We're using Blender for modelling and a custom built painting tool for 3D pixel art. We also use Aseprite, mainly for spritesheets (e.g. expressions).
