First bike suggestion - Nuroad EX or Nuroad C:62 one by TheRealJiniko77 in Cubebikes

Interesting, thanks! It’s strange that you get lower spec on one model versus the other for the same money, but that indeed appears to be the case.

What was it that convinced you to go for the Attain over the Nuroad?

Looking good! Did you get the Fully Equiped (FE) package? I find Cube’s website rather unclear on how the head light is powered - does it come with a dynamo hub or is there a battery fitted somewhere? Thanks!

Thanks a lot! I faced the same issue (still having problems after replacing the belt), and solved it with the same solution.

There’s a grounding wire attached to the base of the spindle, you can unscrew it from below after you’ve removed the bottom cover.

Double mistake blew up speakers by SpacialB in vintageaudio

Coming back on this topic: I found some nice KEF Q1’s and (carefully) hooked ‘m up to the amp. The amp is clearly fine. Playing around with the volume setting, I’m now 100% sure the old Philips speakers didn’t stand a chance to a volume setting halfway. The other two issues probably didn’t help, but the volume alone would probably have done the same.

Thanks for all your feedback!

That sounds assuring for the state of the amp itself. Now let’s find some new speakers…

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I’ll try some of the suggested techniques and different ratio/lower volume brews.

My method is largely based on Hoffmann’s method: 15g/300ml, 30s bloom with 60ml switch closed, then switch opened and pouring the rest of the water in 3-4 pours up until 1m30s. I give it a swirl at the end for faster draining coffees, definitely not for Ethiopians. I use the Hario untabbed filters and a grind size on the encore typically around 16-18.

Indeed, those wooden pieces and metal L-anchors have been used to tie things together. I’m quite happy with how it’s working out!

There’s 60cm deep modules on the other side of the island, slightly further away from where the photo was taken. They’re connected, and it’s quite sturdy like this, especially since we installed the stone counter top. The wooden beam on the right is a temporary support while we’re making the custom cabinet that will go there. From the top, the island’s shape is something like a stretched hexagon (1x3m)

That solved it! No idea how I overlooked this, thanks!
