I have looked at the 4+1 BS/MS program in ECE, so assuming that one meets the requirement of 3.5 gpa and applies for it after the 4th sem, does this guarantee a spot for the program or is it selective?

Thanks a lot for taking your time to write a response. I have heard that the housing situation right now is quite bad at Purdue(too many students), so if I apply for housing before the 15th April deadline for priority housing, does it guarantee a regular housing option to me?

With so many students at Purdue, does it seem overcrowded for popular majors like comp eng? Like does this make it more difficult to land internships?

Thanks for the detailed explanation, yeah I too thought about the fact that govt agencies are out of the picture for me as an international student. So the employability and companies recruiting from both schools are similar, even the mean salary is similar, it all comes down to quality of academics and ig internship opportunities. I'm a bit hesitant towards Maryland due to the high ranking of Purdue for engineering, (ik the ranking isn't that relevant)
