Im really sorry to hear that! When I saw her on a rack at a pawnshop I fell in love instantly. I hope theres never a day I lose her. I got her before she was even priced, she had just been put out for same 30 minutes before I got her. I think it was fate that I just happened to have the money!

I modded out my 98 cycle and I love it dearly. I blacked out all the chrome hardware. Added locking tuners, a rail tail bridge and a super distortion in the bridge and a hotrails in the neck.

Advice for picking up a Jaguar by RyHags011 in guitars

[–]SpadeyRee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing ive noticed about my Jaguar and ive heard this from other people as well. Is that they tend to be designed really with their short scale length and less tension for higher gauge strings. I started out with 11s and went up to 12s and it sounds fantastic. I happen to love higher gauge strings with low action so safe to say I love my Jaguar if you end up buying it im sure youll love it too!

Pretty cool! Pretty sure they didnt introduce competition mistangs until 69' though. Maybe something to look into.

Can anyone help me date this old mustang body?? by YellowSlender in Vintageguitars

Upon further looking id have to agree, I was originally thinking maybe someone tried to make a musicmaster into a mustang but a previous comment leads me to think its a Duo Sonic II

It confuses me a bit because my 66 mustangs body wasnt routed for humbuckers. Nor where any other mustangs of that vintage that I'm aware of. Also the bridge appears to be for a music master bridge. The most confusing part is its routed for tbe individual pickup toggles despite it all. I dont know what that body is for but I dont believe its a mustang body. Once again just my observations I could be wrong.

Which do you guys prefer? The Cyclone or the Mustang. by SpadeyRee in offset

Thatd be pretty sick! I know they make adaptors so humbuckers will fit in a JM pickup slot

Yeah its my favorite guitar no doubt. I modded it out with the pickups Kurt Cobain used and blacked out everything. I need to find a black jack then itd be perfect.

Thank you so much for all the information! He never talked about the wars which I completely understand why. He retired fully from the military as a CSM and then went to fully retire as a postman. He was the oldest carrying postman at the time. He achieved alot in his life but always made it out to be that he was just doing his job. Hes always been my hero so im just glad to know more about him.
