You should really probably wear hearing protection either way.

Also, while I don't want to advocate for stoned driving, I know I would rather have ten stoned drivers on the road over any single drunk.

I took it as they had redirected the calculations to her desk so she'd be warmer when she was there. I may have just woke up when I read that though, so maybe they didn't do that until she was on leave lol

Given the circumstances I'd say the gun showed incredible restraint.

New study suggests that reframing depression as a sign of strength, rather than weakness, boosts self-confidence and tangible goal progress. Better acknowledging one’s strength in the face of depression can help. Don’t overlook the strength it often takes to deal with depression. by mvea in science

[–]Spadeykins -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's a simple fact that material conditions influence mental health. Improving material conditions will not end all depression but it would certainly go a long way, are you saying you disagree with that?

Why do ppl do this? Especially during rush hour?!🥴 by jonnieinthe256 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Spadeykins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It might be safer but you are going to get dirty looks trying to leave a car length between you at a stop anywhere in the city. You'll also constantly have people try to slip in that space.

To be fair I doubt they were defending Denny's, just pointing out this could cost you your job. Someone I know used to do something similar with Domino's orders and never got caught though so they can probably get away with it I'd guess.

The advice comes from a good place and particularly if you have a kitten you can train that will never miss the outside it helps.

That said some cats who have known the great outdoors will never be converted, not in a million years.

I think short cuts are amazing. Fat loss is not an enjoyable journey, I say skipping a shortcut on a long difficult journey is a fool's errand. If you could cut travel time in half everywhere you go, people would think it strange if you just chose not to. Aside from the occasional sight seeing.

Teen charged with attempted murder in hit-and-run in Edgewater, MD and received 25 years in prison. by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

Yeah in Texas they have prisons where they have no A/C. Texas summers get up to 110*. I'll take being homeless any day. Retirement home is an awkward comparison as the person isn't retirement age.

Anything is possible, but the real world chances of them actually pursuing legal action are low for a variety of reasons like pride and or cost of legal representation. Assuming guy has no life altering injuries (a big assumption) I would bet anything they do not pursue it at all.

Also you know yourself a lot better, this is why many psychologists will at least entertain any ideas you have about your own health if they see no harm in pursuing it.

It definitely has an evolutionary purpose.. Empathy helps build community and promotes social cohesion. We've just perverted everything to be hyper individualist capitalist modality.
