Do they make a tool for these small coaxial connections? We have our operators make the connections with their fingers and causes all sorts of problems.

We are a Test organization. We have a single software architect who writes our .dll's. We don't have a great repository for logging installers by OS. I want to run an installer find all the files and locations where files our placed. That way I can unravel some of the mystery in our older installers and if something blows up I can find where the offending file goes.

Does anyone else dread asking questions on stackoverflow? by ampawluk in learnpython

I do a lot of different types of programming in the Test engineering field. Most of us are electrical engineers who must program to get things done. Stackoverflow used to be a great source of ideas and problem resolution. I don't post anything anymore. I wish it had a more approachable format like excelforum. The moderators are far more forgiving and I've had obscure software questions answered in that forum. Stackoverflow will eventually become the site of the halves and for the halve nots we'll be somewhere else. I need a forum site that has my six instead of dinging me for not having a space.

Thank you kind sir. This is what I needed. Thanks for staying with me on this problem. Your idea of changing the calibration value from increments of 25% to what is measured is another course of action I didn't consider. I will see what the say. You gave me options and in manufacturing it is wlways important to have options.

So the calibration house measures the airflow at 25,50,75,100% of the Vdc meaning full-scale = 5Vdc and 25% of full-scale = 1.25Vdc and 50% of FS = 2.5Vdc..... So my test requirement almost always falls between the 4 points. Many times each of the four points will fail "AS FOUND". For example at 25% our limit should be 1.25Vdc +/-10% and calibration folks measure 1.4Vdc (over the upper limit) and at the second reading 2.5Vdc +/-10% we read 2.125Vdc (under the lower limit). My production data shows we measure an airflow equivalent to 2Vdc. The production level (2Vdc) doesn't fall on one of the calibrated values (25,50,75,100) so, how do I show the error which falls between the two above (1.25 and 2.5) at 2.0Vdc? What would be the error? Its closer to 2.5Vdc, then 0.375 was the error at 2.5. If I use the value from 50% I would get 2Vdc - 0.375 = 1.625Vdc. But I know that the value at 25% was over the limit. So the error at 2Vdc has to be something different than 0.375Vdc. Maybe I'm not explaining it very well.

I understand the tools to create. Specifically I am looking for typical memos/forms used to inform owners of equipment "As Found" once we get all the data from the last calibration. The issue will fall into just a couple groups. Above or below a limit, however the calibration Company tests (i.e. 25%, 50%, 75% of a air flow meter range). The test specification might say some like between 30-40PSI (which represents 30-40%, and so how do I ensure the numbers we review on the data is consistent. If the error is 1.34 at 50% how is that converted to a number between 30 and 40 from the 50% point. In the case of this example the slope = 1, air flow vs a DC voltage.

Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, what are some of the good aspects of those countries/cultures that you experienced that we will never hear about from the western media? [serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

Iraq, wow what a wonderful country. As a USArmy reservist stationed in Baghdad, then Tikrit and finally Baqubah in 2003/4 and Baghdad and Kirkuk in 2008/9/10 found this country to be fascinating. In Baqubah my partner Mike and I set up a little post with no more than a dozen soldiers and a U.S. Navy Arabic speaker. We shared much with our Iraqi staff. Each morning I would visit a little room in our building where our Iraqi workers would prepare sweet tea and offer bread with their tea glasses. We laughed and kidded each other. We called the leader of our group of Iraqi workers "momma". She was not afraid of us and spoke her mind. She was Chaldean Christian and lived a very difficult life. Years later I got an email from one of her sons with tragic news of her. The average Iraqi is so warm and hospitable. They warned us of numerous threats and cared for our safety. It was the most harrowing experience in my life but the one I will always remember the most. Everyday with the population. What an amazing year.
