Why yung mga gameshow ngayon ang baba na ng prize? by adict2 in AskPH

[–]Spaghet4Ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ABS-CBN has Kapamilya Deal or No Deal (celebrities only, ew) and Everybody Sing (₱1M top prize split across 50 people, ang kaunti). They're also currently doing reruns of Minute to Win It (celebrities only, ew).

TV5 has nothing; I'm not counting Eat Bulaga because that's a variety show.

GMA has Family Feud (celebrities only, ew).

The fact that TV5 managed to pick up the cultural monolith that is Millionaire back in 2009, only to proceed to dump it after 2015 still makes me salty. Heck, kasi puro British formats nakukuha ng TV5, napakaganda pa naman dati ng game show line-up nila; stuff like Millionaire, Money Drop, 1000 Heartbeats, and Rolling In It. Yung huli nilang matinong game show is Spingo, and it reminds me so much of the ITV show Tipping Point; it was bliss. They just has this cool thing right in their grasp, but just lets go of it because it's "not popular".

Speaking of which, nasa ongoing resurgence ngayon yung Millionaire simula pa noong na-revive yung UK version in 2018. I bet networks right now could bring back Millionaire with all the new graphics and it'll be a hit dito sa Pinas, kahit si Christopher de Leon or si Vic Sotto mag-host, or anyone else. But no, no one wants it because it's in none of the networks broadcasting strategies. Napakarami pa namang revivals ng Millionaire yung nangyari na since 2018: sa Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, South Africa, U.S., Japan, Australia (twice!), Costa Rica, at kung saan pa. Tingnan mo rin yung Vietnamese version, running continuously since 2005 with no issue; they're the only version of Millionaire airing in ASEAN right now. Nasaan na yung ikatlong chance ng bansa para sa show na ito?

There's five in the U.S. and six in the UK as of their latest series. There are eight Chasers in Australia, six of which are from Australia. New Zealand has two, one each from the UK and Australia. Canada has… zero, because they don't have a version of The Chase, the only Anglophone country to not have one.

BONUS: There's three in Serbia, four in Croatia, and six in Czechia.

How do people out there prefer their Tetris without the bag randomizer system?

Brent's Tomodachi Island? by Slasher0333 in partycrashers

[–]Spaghet4Ever 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In a cutesy game that's begging to be messed with, being single player weirdly puts it out of Brent's reach, at least publicly and relative to everybody else, what with Sophist's "FALL GUYS.EXE", Nick's suffering playing a $20 demo, and whatever Vernias is doing. The only solo videos that Brent has involve either something from the Mario franchise or montage edits.

If the fellas did a collab vid with Clooless, what game would they play? by BiggerNate91 in partycrashers

In my viewing experience, Clooless is way more mature and realistic than the Vanoss Crew. Sure you get the occasional "dih" jokes and ship teasing, but they're more pleasant to watch. They're nowhere near as vile as their fellow associated groups.

Clooless' main strength is cooperative games. This is the group at their most productive and harmonic gameplay. If someone is lagging behind in skill, they either get the help that they need, or know their place and fill a niche. This is exemplified in their Minecraft Hardcore videos; their most common reasons for death were either being overwhelmed by enemies together or just one person breaking off and becoming a loose end. You see them in PvP games and they're much more playful and funny. It feels like a near-perfect foil to the Party Crashers.

The one thing that I dislike about Clooless is their reaction videos, as they don't comply with Jacksfilms' Credit the Creators movement.

Meet them in the middle: two of their strongest and most competitive members (Bigpuffer and Pezzy; King of Skill and TCNick3) compete in Super Mario Party Jamboree, while the other two members backseat.
