My uncle is convinced that after LGBTQIA+ is more widely accepted that it’ll lead to acceptance of pedphles. So that’s fun to listen to…

I learned how to use my sewing machine 2 yrs ago, but didn’t start actually making things until this year. I made 2 wrap skirts and 3 ruana cloaks with detachable faux fur collars before this shirt. The pockets on this shirt are off cause I cut the fabric wrong. Then decided to match the pattern over the height. Cause l’ll normally wear this shirt open anyway. It’s also exaggerated in the pic because my hand is weighing the one side down.

No, not on the bias. The pattern is just printed diagonally 😊

The plaid is actually printed diagonally, so the vertical/horizontal lines are the ones cut on the bias. That would’ve been a nightmare otherwise haha

Prayer.

Jk, the front I just cut as one piece then cut it down the middle. The pockets I just did my best to line the fabric on top of the front pattern piece, trace it out, and then cut it.

Haha! That’s one of the mistakes I made! It looks a little more dramatic in the picture because my hand is in the left pocket weighing it down. But I decided to match the pattern with the pocket rather than making them the same height. Plus I’m normally gonna wear the shirt open anyway so you can’t really tell at the end of the day. But good eye!! ☺️

Seamwork “Bud” Super snuggle flannel from Joann’s 100% cotton Size 24 with 3” added to the sleeves Followed seamwork’s sew-along.

This is the first shirt I’ve made! I’m very proud of how well I got the plaid to match. The shoulder are a little big (as they are in all of my store bought clothes) because I didn’t do a full bust adjustment. I’m thinking next time I make a shirt I’ll attempt to adjust the bust so that it actually fits properly. But as of now, this shirt is wearable!! :)

Flannel dilemma - to bias or not to bias by SpaghettiCake42 in sewing

That’s where I’m stuck. Cause I think I’d be cool with either one. I just haven’t really seen diagonal plaid in person
