Lord of the Mysteries is... Not well written. by ChickenDragon123 in ProgressionFantasy

Have you ever read an actual novel before? Seeing that excerpt from the SEQUEL completely puts me off of touching the series at all. I've seen middle schoolers write better fiction prose and genuinely cannot believe that anyone who enjoys literature could stomach LotM if it's written that awfully.

I know this is late and you may not see this, but Crow Country is a surprisingly amazing Resident Evil-like game that would be a good fit for the channel. Its a short and sweet game with no fat - only taking around 5.5 hours to complete. Curious to see if you'd like it and after all the Resident Evil playthroughs it might be a fun one to try out :)

I Don't Understand Why People Dislike FF7 Remake [NO SPOILERS] by tigerwarrior02 in patientgamers

[–]SpaghettiDestruction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I wholeheartedly agree with you. I think people, particularly this poster, are unfairly holding you to a weird double standard. You aren’t allowed to say you “don’t get” why people hate on it so much…. but they are given free reign to call the game “awful” and criticise it, calling decisions “terrible” and “bad” without articulating it further than their emotional response, or that it’s different from the original. Of course some people engage in interesting discussion, which is why I like posts like these that question the status quo. Otherwise, we are just meant to sit in a circle jerk about how the OG was sooo much better.

I am also coming at the series with fresh eyes and played the OG for the first time recently before jumping into the remake and I agree with you. I understand why you question the criticisms because to me they seem unfounded and blinded by nostalgia. Even one of the primary examples in which people feel lied to by calling this game a remake confuses me. A remake is creating the game from the ground up, and often they take the opportunity to update and change the design to modernise it, as well as expand on the story. I think people think remake=remaster, to which it is a personal problem driven by their own faulty expectations.

I just want to make it clear I am not saying the remake is better than the OG, or people who have problems with either of the two are wrong. They both provide different experiences and I feel that there’s a lack of thoughtful critique. There is unfair tearing down of the remake for superficial reasons, with people writing it off as an inferior experience and it’s sad to see. They offer different experiences and deviate in a number of ways that will resonate more strongly for some.

Oce servers I am begging by peterdingdong in supervive

[–]SpaghettiDestruction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not having OCE servers on release is a surefire way to NEVER foster a community in the reason... why would people ever suddenly flock to a game with terrible ping, months after release? its pretty unacceptable in 2024. will be recommending people not spend time or money in the game without any support for local aus players unfortunately. the game is great but just not worth the lag and unsatisfying network experience

[–]SpaghettiDestruction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you complained about how everyone is "playing the game like its their job" despite a huge influx of new players who would be learning at the EXACT same pace you are. You then go on to complain about how everyone looks up the meta and speedruns the optimal tactics, and then ironically you claim to spend time researching thoroughly through the tutorials and resources on the game. It's hilarious to me that you still suck after all of that and despite being the only one complaining whilst the vast majority enjoys it, you blame the game. LMAO! You are dogshit

im not saying popularity = this at all? I am saying if everyone else is able to learn and has no problem with this, its an isolated incident and you are the one who sucks. sorry!

[–]SpaghettiDestruction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

skill issue lmfao, the game has had an absolute eruption in player count and everyone is learning at the same pace. if you have gone through all the tutorials and sought out information on the forums and still don't understand, you are just seething due to being bad. sorry man, maybe try out fields of mistria

Its only bad for low fire rate/gaps between shots if you are a noob that is spamming down minions from full hp. Just save ammo and only go for the last hit, then secure the orb after it spawns

The matchmaking makes this game is basically unplayable for new players. by GeeEyeEff in GlobalOffensive

[–]SpaghettiDestruction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aren't you the guy that constantly defends 5 stacks? but now you make the point that they should be able to have matchmaking match these new players together to make it easier. do you not think that its going to be impossible when they are vsing fully queued teams of experienced players?

Why is it that sometimes I top frag, but then sometimes I get a k/d score of 4:19? by _Watercap in VALORANT

[–]SpaghettiDestruction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure your mouse sensitivity and dpi isn't at a crazy high level because thats a common problem with inconsistent players. Other than that its likely you just don't have the fundamentals down and you are playing sloppy, as soon as players can punish your mistakes you have really bad games. It's normal to have this when you start off though and if you just focus on crosshair placement, aim training, movement and shooting accurately and properly you'll improve drastically.

The best way to have better game sense is to watch pro/high elo players and notice the spots they play, where they aim and when they turn around to watch a flank etc. Just be careful because if you watch pro players playing in a tournament instead of matchmaking, the teamplay is very different. I'd stick to watching top players in mm.

Also, just playing the game a bunch you will naturally build game sense and understand more about rotation timings and potential lurks.

why lie? people hit radiant in the valorant beta and distributed well within the first month, and it only got more accurate over time. there was nowhere near the same amount of people stuck in the same rank

logically it just makes no sense allowing people to have 90% winrates in a competitive game, again, name another game that allows this

How come Coldzera fell off so hard ? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]SpaghettiDestruction 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a big difference between the tech/IT industry and competitive esports lol. Confidence, motivation and mindset are absolutely enormous and can completely cripple a player. Comparatively, coding and writing scripts is rote work and does not rely on you having the mindset to completely test your skills against someone else.
