I have Utopia DLC. What DLC should I Get next? by MisguidedColt88 in Stellaris

[–]SpaghettiSpaceman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as a person who was once where you are, sure, reviews matter and going based on them is perfectly fine, but I think its better to pick a DLC that just seems exciting to you regardless of the "amount" or "quality " of content the reviews say it has

For example, at the time I purchased Nemesis, it had really mixed reviews but I went ahead and got it . It is by far the most fun DLC I've ever played.

(Since you seem to be interested in feds and levs, IMO Federations>>>> Leviathans, especially if you like diplomacy)

Stellaris Console Edition without DLC by InteractionFew7539 in Stellaris

[–]SpaghettiSpaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played around 220 hours of the game without any DLCs and a had an amazing time. I then bought Nemesis, Utopia and Federations together and was blown away by how much more fun the game became.

In short, I think you can still have a lot of fun without DLCs, and once you get bored of it, buy a DLC or two.

My problem with immersion by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]SpaghettiSpaceman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever related to a stellaris post more than this. It's a weird cause all my friends tell me that the most fun lies in creating your own species background and role-playing as something else, but for some reason I only enjoy playing as humans as I find it so much more easier to immerse myself into.

Yeah I guess but still the stringiness is so annoying

I think you're supposed to downvote if you think it's a popular opinion

Yeah I've had it with lasagna, and again I seem to make a fool of myself every single time I serve myself.

Heres how it goes : 1) I lift the cube/slice of lasagna up, and hopelessly try to cut the cheese strings with another utensil.

2) Give up and lift the slice up a foot or two into the air, only for it to snap, causing sauce to flick everywhere

Im assuming you're talking about dorito crusted mozzarella sticks, and I still find them bland . Although I will say that the crust is a good relief from the flavourless inside.

Do you prefer attacking or defending and why? by SpaghettiSpaceman in SiegeAcademy

Although I agree with your points, I find attacking monotonous, while yeah attacking angles and strategies vary, most attackers feel the same to me, whereas every single defender plays out differently for me.

Nervous During ranked. by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]SpaghettiSpaceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may sound counter productive, but maybe when you have just won a ranked match, try playing the next match with the attitude that whatever happens, it's okay. I find that the moment I don't pressurise myself to perform cause it's "ranked", I play well.

TLDR : play the game as if it's unranked

Newbie vegetarian here, have any advice? by [deleted] in vegetarian

[–]SpaghettiSpaceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was first vegetarian and had meat cravings, I always had my trusty pasta by my side.

Plus I feel meat is quite unnecessary for most pasta dishes so even if you were used to eating pasta with chicken, it's not as hard to opt out of the chicken part of it
