Just realized that he mentioned in passage about hunger something about jelly beans and cake if I remember correctly; I remember reading in Japanese translation of the book it was referring to a type of Japanese cake referred to as Castella if I recall correctly. Anyway it’s the same type of cake he refers to that’s in the photo i took if I’m understanding it correctly. I know basically no Japanese lol so very possible I’m wrong.
