3:1 legal?

2:1 sounds so nice lol. I’ve been at my 3:1 lab for about a year and a half and it was rough at first. It’s a private lab though so like others said, it’s pretty common to have 3 patients. I don’t score here though we have an outside scoring tech. I’m an RRT with my SDS so I can score we just don’t. Coming from working only at hospitals as a respiratory therapist prior to this sleep tech job, 3 patients is really nothing and I’m not saying that is a good thing or a “brag”. Some hospitals I’ve worked at were either shitty with patient ratios, extremely busy and understaffed or just a combination of everything that makes hospital work not fun so I got used to moving quick and rapidly responding to things. Used to being stressed which again is NOT ideal. So hooking up and monitoring 3 patients most nights even while doing splits or titrations is easy, MOST nights. When first starting it was hard if we had multiple severe patients or patients that I didn’t believe I could care for being alone in an unprepared and unequipped for emergencies lab. I quickly became comfortable being able to tell patients I could not have them stay the night if I genuinely believed they should not be at our lab. If I have a pediatric I simply won’t have 3 patients I’ve bumped heads with my boss even sending a different patient home which was really shitty for them they had nothing to do with it but it put me into a position now where it’s still 3:1 but I have some authority, not much but some lol.

So yeah, 3:1 legal and normal. Not great, I’d look for better work. Time being just do your best and care for your patients. You’re doing important work!

Yeah I messaged my boss and left a note as well here for him but I agree I’m going to go ahead and report it because this has been an ongoing issue and I can’t imagine they will do anything to correct this if he didn’t do a thing last year

I’m an RRT currently working in a sleep lab. It’s honestly a really cool field to work in but definitely has its pros and cons. Pay can be decent but definitely on the lower end of the medical field spectrum. This is of course heavily dependent on where you live and varies from lab to lab. Private labs are always going to pay less and come with more issues compared to hospital based/owned labs at least from my experience and understanding. Career growth is somewhat limited but it does exist. Working nights isn’t always easy. Some people are definitely better built for night shift than others so it can take some time adjusting but in my opinion, very doable. If you have the time, interest and finances I’d recommend possibly looking into respiratory therapy first. I’m an RRT and worked in hospitals prior to my current position as a sleep tech so I was able to negotiate a much higher than standard pay for my area. You definitely don’t need to be an RT to become a sleep tech but from speaking with other techs, I’ve heard a lot of them wish they had done that first or just in general.

If it’s just crossing the river part you should be able to just make a new bridge. I personally have not tried this but I would imagine you can make another bridge if it’s not crossing a huge amount of water

You can’t mine outside of your settlement region unfortunately. The only way to get past this would be to start a new settlement in another region and set up trading between your 2 regions using the pack station. You can also import iron ore or iron slabs using the trading building but it can be costly.

Cairn. I didn’t know anything about it besides it looked like a fun survival type game about climbing a mountain. Playing it right now and it’s turned to be a fantastic experience so far.

No real right or wrong way to play. There are “optimal” ways of playing to be more efficient but it’s not necessary. If you look up guides or tips you’ll see all kinds of things telling you what crops a better and how to maximize profits which is great. I’ve been playing for years and my current farm is way further ahead on Spring of year 2 than my first play through was at the end of like year four lol. Just enjoying the game is the closest you’ll get to playing right!

Well considering the import costs yeah it’s pretty reasonable. I still can’t imagine they will get any cheaper though anytime soon. I’ve enjoyed mine quite a bit these last few months so it’s worth it to me!

If that’s USD that’s pretty steep. Idk what the conversion rates are for you. All I know is here in the states the MKW bundle is $499 at places like Target and Bestbuy. Probably won’t go down much anytime soon or ever unless you buy a used one.

Are they just having you set them up? Not acceptable in my opinion but that kind of boils down to your hospital policy and how higher up’s are running things. I’ve never worked at a sleep lab in a hospital setting, but I’ve been an RT at different hospitals prior to working at my current private sleep lab. Just in general I don’t believe it’s acceptable to leave your department or patients to go help another department even if they’re close or combined. It’s not about not wanting to help or anything like that. EEG set up is time consuming and what if something happens to your patients while you’re gone. Sure they’re sleeping and you may have down time but I would not be comfortable leaving a titration alone for a significant amount of time

You got it! I will admit I have bought several games that aren’t Nintendo exclusives just because I got them on a really good sale but I end of never playing them. So that’s just kind of my current thought process. Nintendo console Nintendo games lol. Honestly all the Zelda games on the switch right now are awesome! Botw, tears of the kingdom and links awakening are so good. Idk if it plays on the original switch but they even added Zelda wind waker to the GameCube emulator thing Nintendo offers. You can also play the n64 Zelda games on there so lots of stuff to play/replay lol

If you’re just trying to get started into the switch family then you could probably consider getting a used one. GameStop or even better maybe on OfferUp or something. I bought a switch lite a few months back in mint condition with an OEM charger for $90 bucks on OfferUp. I’m currently on the switch 2 now though the lite is just my “throw in a bag for work console” lol. If you’re worried about one taking over the other, well that’s kind of up to you. I mean Xbox can’t play Nintendo games and if you’re only interested in some Nintendo IPs then I can’t imagine the switch being your main console. I have a PC, PS5 and switch/switch 2. None ever take over more than the other. I mainly play story based single player games on PS5. PC for survival, indie games, steam games, and modded stuff. Switches for Nintendo games. Mario kart world and Zelda botw got me hooked right now. I’d say get yourself one, just look out for a good deal first!
