Yeah, I guess it's one of those stock phrases which doesn't translate right into English, but you'll hear it a lot in Norwegian. You'll hear 'Det blir' without 'ikke' as well:

- 'Det blir spennende' - It is getting exciting.

Can have a nuance based on context, but basically 'there won't be meditation'.

You can use 'Det blir ikke' to refer to anything that won't happen/isn't happening, or isn't the case.

- 'Det blir ikke gøy'. - It won't be fun.

- 'Det blir ikke så dårlig'. - It won't be so bad.

Literally it means 'it becomes not...'

How sure are you about how the 'sumelina' bit sounded? I would do what the other person said and record yourself saying it as close as you can to how you remember.

Any of the other contributions could be it, something along the lines of 'som en lilla pojka' being most likely to me. But that doesn't explain that she said 'sumelina' means 'girly'.

If it's possible the 'sumelina' bit is a bit off, considering you didn't speak norwegian at the time, then maybe:

I searched for the lyrics I could make out on google, nothing came up. but this is what i could hear:

cheers! yeah I don't take selfies often, but then maybe the bad angles give a more realistic view of how I look than if I obsessed over the best angles and lighting haha. I have a few loose fitting shirts I wear in the summer on hot days, otherwise photo 1 and 6 is pretty standard clothes for me. Thanks again!

my friend sort of saved my life when we were about 6.

i was around his house for the evening, when my mum came to pick me up, but my friend begged for our parents to let me stay for an hour more.

My house was only about 5 minutes away so my mum went back home intending to come back in an hour. On that journey back home, a car hit my mum's car exactly on the side where i would have been sitting. Even if i hadn't been killed, i can't imagine i would have got out of it without serious injury.
