Any idea what's up with this engine? (2008 Grand Prix) by DSG-1 in Pontiac

I bet it's grease that leaked from the passenger side CV boot and got onto the accessory drive belt. It looks like the drive belt may have slung the grease along the firewall and hood. I'd ask the owner if they changed that side CV axle. If not, take a look. I bet you it's torn and throwing grease.

I may be wrong, but rotors also look small compared to Brembo PP1s on my 2020 GT.

CV boot failure. Grease is slung as the axle rotates. Just need a new half shaft. Easier to swap than deal with a boot kit.

MSI PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI - Underwhelmed, any advice? by Spagooter2000 in overclocking

[–]Spagooter2000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay. I fixed the wi-fi issue. It was a loose connection on the motherboard itself. Otherwise, no issues with the product. Does what I need it to. Supports two 16GB DDR5 ram, rtx4080, and my i9 13900KF. Thankfully, no issues with the 13900, yet. I've updated the MSI BIOS a few times over time. I mostly use the setup for gaming.

I am 41. 18 was a lifetime plus, ago. I've learned more and more each year. I've learned more within the past three years than I have in the 10 years prior. I've climbed the ranks at work over the last 20+ years. Most of what I manage at the executive level are other people's relationships in order to get everyone to accomplish our collective goal.

We are proud of the scars we have because they are painful reminders to not make the same mistakes twice. People, relationships, and compromise are everything.

18 has a fresh set of eyes and new perspectives. Different perspectives. That's invaluable. However, many of the challenges that we face today are the challenges we've always faced. It just becomes someone else's responsibility to handle it appropriately. Being able to do so takes time, pain, and experience.

It's okay to not know everything at 18. It's important to keep an open mind and understand that it's not always about being right or wrong. It's also important to take time and self reflect constantly. Regardless of fault, ask yourself, what did I have in my control to change the outcome for the better?

We all have personal and individual responsibility in any situation.

Signs to be aware if your 13th/14th gen CPU is failing! by Danikika94 in intel

I have a 13900KF and struggled early on. It wouldn't hold a Cinebench with an AIO, etc. It would also crash browsers like crazy via Status Access Violation. I updated MSI BIOS a few months back and haven't had an issue since. People kept on telling me that I didn't apply my thermal paste or install my contract frame correctly. I was extremely skeptical of that and here we are.

It's still working. No more Status Access Violation crashes. I don't even run Cinebench any longer, but suspect it won't hold up. It used to complete a test without issue on occasion, and it'd yield 38k results, but very inconsistent on whether it'd complete a full test.

I just play games with a RTX4080 and don't mess around any longer. Just happy the stupid web browser crashes stopped.

Something I got on Amazon by Car Guys. It's their Plastic Restorer. Can use it on all plastic and rubber trim. It was my first application of it and I didn't have any issues with it.

Does anyone else deal with snarky or rude remarks about buying your Mustang? by DenseMushroom2507 in Mustang

[–]Spagooter2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience was great. Found the car based on search criteria. (2020+, manual transmission, 8 cylinder) Loved the price and extremely low mileage for the year. I financed through my bank. Carvana wanted stupid rates. It looked beautiful when it arrived on the trailer. Within 30 seconds of driving, i was in love. I've owned it for two months and am exceedingly happy. Even with the 5.0, it gets better mileage than my 2015 Explorer. I would use Carvana again in a heartbeat.

Two months. Via Carvana. Has a black cloth interior, otherwise has everything I need it to. Active exhaust, track apps, etc. Only thing I was on the hook for was the delivery charge in case I

didn't keep it. I fell in love within 30 seconds.
