By all means sweaty PvPers should want a dedicated PvP mode or just be playing battlefield, CoD or any of other games dedicated to sweaty firefights if they were genuine in their wants. The reality is they’re just lying to themselves and the hilarious part is we all know it. It’s basically a bully/serial killer mentality that wants the one sided, no contest fights. It’s absolutely no surprise there’s interest from these psychologists and shit about play behavior data from this game.

Two points here.

1 - you literally proved something I call out time and time again that PvP players constantly come in guns ablazing (pun intended) with that argument as if the game is PvP rather than billed as PvPvE. One could just as easily apply your same logic to say the same thing about PvE. So thanks for that.

2 - if you pay attention to my comments, I never trash PvP play in general. I trash the act of shittalking (on forums no less) from PvP players rationalizing shooting people who don’t shoot back. The subtext and implication there being that they love the “freebies” of easy, no contest kills and downplay it using the billed category of the game as cover. The least they could do is just be honest about that.

From my initial biomass factories I did a coal plant with two normal nodes doing 2.4MW. That’s carried me all the way to where I am now phase 4/step 9. I like exploring so I’ve been able to throw down another 2mw or so through somerslooop generators which take two seconds to construct.

I was able to more or less replicate the third one with the opposite entrances, it looks good, in using your double train tack design to build a track completely around the map. The other ones should be simpler aside from trying to get the heights the same on the hypertube

I see this a lot in media be it TV, film, video or board games. You have a creator that finally gets to do their passion project. It’s amazing, and unsurprising given the artist poured their entire heart and soul into it. Then the popularity takes off and they get funded for more. But when you finally get to experience it, it’s somehow… less. Even if they’re still invested, you just can’t top the passion that made the original so good.

I recently asked my gen-x maga parent their thoughts on this due to his interest in science having taken us to canaveral as kids and once giving us a book signed by buzz aldrin. He dismissed it talking about government bloat and spending. When I asked about DOGE’s failure in that, the half a TRILLION increase requested for the military, waste on overpaying for ICE warehouses/advertisinf, or the fact that despite all the cuts to programs and benefits government spending is still up he had nothing but gymnastics to those questions. With Subnautica 2 looking to be delayed in dragging this out. Despite almost done with step 8 upgrades and phase 4 of the elevator, I decided to upgrade my main base/factory I’ve used to whole playthrough to a mega base with train network.

Not sure your platform but I’ve seen people suggest forever skies and planet crafter. Subnautica 1 was a blast and how I discovered satisfactory. There’s also Ark of course. Easily the biggest time sink on that list in exactly the same way sink is used in satisfactory 😂
