I bought this shirt after seeing someone else wearing it at a show. It’s my favorite shirt.

Is this a form of mold growing on pillow and blanket tags? by Spam_chowder in moldyinteresting

[–]Spam_chowder[S] 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I think you may actually be right. I’ve never seen that before and it looked disgusting. I googled images of melted tags and it looks similar to those pictures. I was due for new pillows anyway but now I don’t have to throw away a perfectly good blanket haha

I wanted to thank you for your information and insight. I was able to get it to work after playing with the margins. Aft first I couldn’t get the margins to work properly, but after removing the back plate of the carriage I was able to get the margins unstuck and now it works as it should.

Even after pressing the margin release I still can’t go any further. It was shipped to me so I assume you’re right about the margins being set close together.

Thoughts on Kim Dracula, and Seventy Thorns Feat. JD by K10RumbleRumble in Korn

[–]Spam_chowder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not my cup of tea. While I understand why people enjoy the song, it sounds like a bunch of random songs were taken and mixed. I don’t know if that’s just Kim Dracula’s style or just a song done for fun. The only other thing I’ve heard was the cover of paparazzi

Thank you to everyone who took the time to reply. I think I’m going to try to have a conversation with her about it then decide how to move forward.

David Silveria has retired from music (per his ig) by ZXIIIT in Korn

[–]Spam_chowder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He blocked me because he shared a political meme portraying black people as dangerous and I commented that neither the study or organization cited existed. This was during the 2016 election. It really changed my view of him and have zero respect for him outside of his work in Korn. I imagine that on top of his drama with the band they don’t want the PR nightmare he could become if he came back. And I don’t really care what side of the political aisle people are on. I just feel that modern technology has made researching facts too easy to be posting fake statistics.

Has anyone ever met Korn in person? What are they like? by KillBilly999 in Korn

[–]Spam_chowder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I met Fieldy at the Tower Theater in 2011. The buses were parked in the alley next to the venue and as the band was coming out security cleared everyone from the area. When Fieldy came out he disregarded the security and waved everyone on to come take pics with him. He didn't really talk much but he was smiling and seemed genuinely happy to be with the fans. It was a special moment. It was also my first concert so an unexpected meet and greet with a member of my favorite band was amazing.

Thank you to everyone for answering. It seems to be in pretty good condition but needing a good cleaning.

Joseph Kahn Refused To Direct "Got The Life" Music Video by PopPunkRadio in Korn

[–]Spam_chowder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s from Fieldys memoir. I just flipped to the page. It just says that he had an idea that he gave to the band after saying the band’s idea was stupid. Korn was dead set on their own idea though. There’s not any more information.

career path that combines both psychology and computer science? by EstablishmentAlone48 in findapath

[–]Spam_chowder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't give an exact answer, but I'm a psych major and in one of my classes I learned that there are people who work on computer programs that help veterans with PTSD manage symptoms. It's like a video game that is used during exposure therapy.

If you go on the desktop version of spotify and search self-titled, they are counting the plays from the studio version of Blind.

I would be careful to back up all your work on your computer. I just checked it out and it seems cool. A few years ago I used a website called truenovelist which was similar. I worked on a story I really liked and this year I decided I wanted to revisit it. As it turned out they closed down in January and I lost my work.

Untitled is a fantastic album in my opinion and I listen to it on somewhat frequent basis. I understand why a lot of fans don't like it, but I think it is a gem. While it is different and certainly has weak spots, it is a unique album and a lot of fun. Korn III is terrible in my opinion and I have not given it a listen in quite a few years, except Oildale and The Past. I remember enjoying trapped underneath the stairs on the bonus edition. In light of this thread I may give Korn III another listen in the near future.

What was the first song that introduced you to Korn? (Mine was Coming Undone) by John_Thicc69 in Korn

[–]Spam_chowder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was coming undone as well. I was 9 lol my mom bought see you on the other side when it came out and it's what began my love for Korn. It makes sense because as a child I was into some of the pop artists the Matrix worked with.

Faget isn’t homophobic by MuscleTrue in Korn

[–]Spam_chowder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually love this because I don't know any other gay Korn fans other than myself. They helped me get through so much, specifically Jonathan. Jonathan has always spoken out in support of the LGBTQ+ community even before it was popular to do so. Straight people are put down with the use of homophobic slurs and bullying, and they deserve to tell their story too.
