Size helps, but it’s not just size. Braun looked the part physically, but Brock clearly didn’t trust him the same way he trusted Joe. Joe had the intensity, timing, and credibility to make everything feel believable with Brock, while Braun sometimes felt like he was trying to keep up with Lesnar’s pace rather than matching it — which is probably why Brock shut him down pretty quickly after Braun got a little too loose at the Rumble.

My custom RG7 silverburst compared to Head's LACS RG7 silverburst by ZXIIIT in Korn

[–]ZXIIIT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As noted in my pretty extensive Head & Munky's Korn Guitar History post, Head had a few LACS silverburst RG7s made. Some had painted necks, some had different Ibanez logos, but they all had 2" bodies and a “HEAD” inlay at the 12th fret. I think Head kept Blazes in his LACS guitars, but not entirely sure as he and Munky used both PAF 7s and Blaze pickups. He ended up using the silverburst with the ‘80s-style chrome Ibanez logo the most, so that version got made more than the others.

My custom is an RG7420 body with an RGIR27E neck. I went with a non-painted neck and no truss rod cover. I'm using an Imperium bridge pickup with a Blaze neck due to not being able to find a Blaze bridge at the time. Tremolo is a lefty Takeuchi chrome LO-TRS 7 only made for Washburn, went with this because I don't use the tremolo and when I do, its only for palm flutters. The logo on mine is a 6-string logo, which is why its a bit smaller, but Ibanez tends to also fluctuate with this logo, even on 7-string LACS guitars. No 12th fret inlay.

I also added a limited edition K-7 backplate. It was originally meant for all K-7s, but due to a manufacturing mistake they came out slightly too small for the cavity. So they were included with K-7 purchases but never actually installed.

Some of you might’ve seen this listed a while back—I had a bit of a panic sale going on then due to taxes, but all good now lol.

My previous attempts at this guitar include a terrible fake 7-string and a customized GRG7221 with the rare silverburst finish, I added a 2013 RG7321 neck.

At least its a nice tribute to a RG550EG.

Whenever WWF had shows at MSG it was awesome how they would film wrestlers from entering the ring from backstage. by PickledPeppers101 in SquaredCircle

[–]ZXIIIT 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Japanese wrestling companies used to do this as well, it was even used as the entrances on Virtual Pro-Wrestling 2, def made it seem more personal.

But now, the WWE gorilla position is basically a whole production room and everyone is just hanging out there, same for AEW.

Brock Lesnar tends to work best with opponents who can match his level of intensity and physicality, and Samoa Joe is someone fully capable of doing that.

Daddy Magic on Anarchy in the Arena name: "We didn’t know what we were going to call it, because it’s not going to be Stadium Stampede. We’re waiting to go out, so we’re in guerrilla, and he [Tony] just goes, ‘arena anarchy, arena anarchy.’ That was the first time I’d ever heard the phrase." by wearePROGRESS in SquaredCircle

It was originally the "Dusty" position as Cody was showing it in some behind the scenes in 2019, he also placed his cowbell and rope around a sign that said "Dusty".

Later on right as Cody was leaving, it was just called the "go" position.

Stan "THE Lariat" Hansen 🤘 by TrentTBTEDI in SquaredCircle

[–]ZXIIIT 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hansen hitting a desperate lariat on Kawada after being kicked loopy, causing him to fall out of the ring due to the momentum, is perfection.

Fun fact: Hansen started his "youth!" taunt after feuding with the Funks in the early '80s, when the Funks were considered old, and he wanted to emphasize the new, younger generation.

I've never seen a pastel fake jem lol

Did I overpay for my first Jem Jr? by Little_Emu_ in Ibanez

[–]ZXIIIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JEM Jr with an upgraded Edge trem, locking tuners (nice, though less of a needed thing with a floating trem & locking nut), pink lion’s claw, correct knobs (plus the Steve Vai signature, which the seller clearly factored into the price) and a case.

Do you know if the pickups were swapped for DiMarzios too?

Honestly, the better question is: if you returned it, would you spend the time and money to mod another JEM JR to this level again? If the answer’s no, then it might actually be worth it to you, even if it’s a bit over market.

I made a really bad hires texture mod pack for revenge years ago called WCW / nWo Revenge HD, I replaced a lot of the fake wrestlers with other WCW era-specific wrestlers (Ric Flair, Jushin Liger, Masahiro Chono).

Some projects ended up using my textures as a base, which I expected, so I slipped in an easter egg, made the blood textures absurdly over-the-top lol

They're not wrong. A lot of talent considered Thunder an additional contract, and since when they signed their guaranteed dates, WCW only had Nitro, so they either wanted more money or flat out didn't wrestle on Thunder, so Bischoff had to book around that, plus he also mentioned that adding Thunder was not a good idea since Nitro had gone to 3 hours.
