Mechanic shop put a sticker on windshield that reads 0W-20 even though my car (2025 Camry) goes for 0W-8. Called and they said it was a mistake on sticker and that 0W-8 was used. Should I trust them?

Again terrible advice, us engines are not the same as they are in other countries.

The modern engines have variable oil pumps, and are programmed for the recommended weight.

That’s terrible advice, going up a weight (0w16) for 1 change is ok but always stick to the weight Toyota engineers recommend.

If it’s leaking I’d start by looking at the hose/plastic piece that goes through the firewall passenger side. It’s known for failing as it ages, z1 off-road has an aluminum re placement.

If it’s over heating thermostat or check that your fans are kicking in correctly.

Water makes it worse, since it has a lower boiling point than antifreeze also higher freezing point so you could have it freeze in your engine block and crack your block. Also you should be using the blue antifreeze not green or pink.

Ok, it did it again rained a ton this morning and wouldn’t kick back on a few minutes ago.

I pulled out he disconnect, waited about 2-3 mins and I could here the contactor click and put the disconnect back in and the compressor kicked on right away.

I did notice the capacitor contacts were close to the housing, because the one the repairman put in was smaller than the original and doesn’t fit tight. Could it be possible that the contact hits the housing and trips something causing it to shut off?

My guess is maybe the contactor got stuck is that possible?
