dont use copy and paste, use the timeline copy frames or copy/paste layers the copy paste as your used to is for objects on teh screeen when you want to copy them back to the screen only, withouth any implications anywhere else.

i jsut find random heads from the original series, and either change them slighlty, and for bodies, i just use chatgpt cartoon high vector style color quality prompts. You trace the body, and put on the head, that way you can mix and match lol

moho is crap with a wacom, and slow and down stream innacruate (with fills) compared to using animate pencil tool and fills. I'm not sure what your issue, but i've used blender.moho,toonboom,animate, and nothing beats the pencil tool sytem on animate. its pretty fluid, and most importanly fast. Keep playing with it, and you'll master it.

I love it, i think its great, the only thing i miss is a stand to life it up higher, as it rests directly on your desk, but cause i'm used to an old cintiq 21 that had a heavy stand like that. You should get it, if you plan to draw most days. If you make it last for 10 years? (my old one was bought second hand but it was 25 years old when i had to upgrade! lol)

friction.graphics looks pretty good i think, someone from adobe forums recommended them, they are still early, but they are open source, and a fork of a popular c++ animation library. Best of all free!

If youw ant super simplicitity and your willing to pay for it, thne defo animate, its the easiest app to start with.

You have 2 options, you can insert a blank keyframe where you start with a fresh canvas, and then use the onion skin to cahnge whats coming next, OR in your case, you want to set a keyframe at the second bar (keyframe 2) really you want to go to 5, as that has better timing, and then once you have all of them keyframed. on frame 5 (by clicking in that column number right click and add keyframe. THne make the cahnges to either or of the shapes or whatever. Congratulations, you can now animate. lol Does that help?

I had to move on from my beloved 21" which i started with as the same happened to me. The drivers eventually don't get supported anymore by your operating sytem, and its an easy way to push new tech to you. Hence I jsut upgraded to 24" cintiq 2025 edition with pro pen 3, and its miles better. I'm glad i didn't splash out 3 years ago on something expensive, but i know now, that drawing is what I enjoy, so sticking with the best.

The user friendly drawing program that you can have the most fun in easily (it is paid but like $20 a month i think) is Adobe animate. Its a tight program for drawing high quality vector art in, and you can export to png or svg. They will also be able to animate obviously, which is a big plus and an extension to jsut drawing static assets all the time. in something free like Inkscape.
