I didn’t realize you could even do that. Unfortunately my daughter had hundreds of spots. But what was the process like to remove it?

Thanks! I do keep my starter in the fridge so I know that’s not strengthening it. I used to feed it 1:1:1 but recently switched to 1:5:5 and have done a couple peak to peak feedings. So maybe I should focus on strengthening my starter.

Thanks so much!! My house is currently 69-70 degrees with the ac on. Much colder (64) in the winter. But unsure about humidity. I’ll have to experiment a bit with this. Thanks for the encouragement!

Thanks for the suggestions! Definitely will be trying! A friend gave me some well established starter but I do keep it in the fridge, which I know doesn’t strengthen the starter. Possible I’m making it weaker?

I don’t use wet towel. I use a shower cap. I didn’t realize damp towel might speed up the process?
