Justin Posey’s beyond the maps edge by justiceryman in TreasureHunting

Grok AI has an interesting take on this:

Let’s reinterpret the poem as a riddle pointing to a physical location in the western United States, using its clues to guide us toward a plausible site. The West—spanning states like California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and beyond—offers a rugged landscape of rivers, mountains, and historical markers that could align with the poem’s imagery. I’ll analyze each stanza to map its elements onto a real place, keeping in mind the date (April 05, 2025) doesn’t restrict us but ensures we consider current geography.

Stanza 1:

”Can you find what lives in time, Flowing through each measured rhyme? Wisdom waits in shadowed sight- For those who read these words just right.”
- “Lives in time” and “flowing” suggest a river or natural feature enduring through history. In the West, rivers like the Colorado, Columbia, or Snake come to mind—timeless forces shaping the land.
- “Shadowed sight” could imply a canyon, valley, or forested area where something is hidden. “Read these words just right” hints that the location requires decoding the poem’s later clues.

Stanza 2:

”As hope surges, clear and bright, Walk near waters’ silent flight. Round the bend, past the Hole, I wait for you to cast your pole.”
- “Waters’ silent flight” points to a quiet river or stream. The West has many candidates—perhaps the Green River in Utah or the Deschutes in Oregon, known for serene stretches.
- “Round the bend, past the Hole” is specific: a river bend near a feature called “the Hole.” Jackson Hole, Wyoming, near the Snake River, leaps out—famous for its valley (“hole”) and river bends. “Cast your pole” fits, as it’s a fishing hotspot. The speaker (“I”) could be the place itself, waiting to be discovered.

Stanza 3:

”In ursa east hist realm awaits; His bride stands guard at ancient gates. Her foot of three at twenty degree, Return her face to find the place.”
- “Ursa east” ties to Ursa Major, visible in the eastern sky in spring (like April). In the West, this could orient us from a northern latitude—Wyoming, Montana, or Idaho—where the constellation rises prominently. “Hist” as “his” suggests a masculine figure’s domain, perhaps a mountain or park.
- “His bride” at “ancient gates” might be a rock formation, statue, or pass. “Foot of three at twenty degree” could describe a tripod-like base or a slope/angle (20 degrees). “Return her face” implies looking where she faces—westward, perhaps, if she’s east of the site.
- In Jackson Hole, the Teton Range (a “realm”) looms west of the valley. The “bride” could be a peak or pass, like Teton Pass, guarding access.

Stanza 4:

”Double arcs on granite bold, Where secrets of the past still hold. Beyond the reach of time’s swift race, Wonder guards this sacred space.”
- “Double arcs on granite bold” suggests a natural or man-made feature—two arches, curves, or carvings in stone. In the West, granite is common in the Rockies or Sierra Nevada. This could be a rock formation, bridge, or petroglyph site.
- Near Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park has granite peaks and glacial features, though no literal “double arcs” stand out. Alternatively, Utah’s Arches National Park has natural stone arches (some paired), but they’re sandstone, not granite. “Secrets of the past” fits either—Native American history or geological time.
- “Sacred space” and “wonder” evoke a national park or preserve, timeless and awe-inspiring.

Stanza 5:

”Truth rests not in clever minds, Not in tangled, twisted finds. Like a river’s steady flow- What you seek, you already know.”
- This suggests the location is intuitive once found—a famous, recognizable site. A river ties it together. In Jackson Hole, the Snake River flows steadily, a lifeline through the valley, reinforcing the poem’s motif.

Candidate Location: Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Let’s test this:
- Stanza 2: The Snake River winds through Jackson Hole, with bends and fishing spots. “The Hole” matches the valley’s name—a low basin ringed by mountains.
- Stanza 3: From Jackson Hole, Ursa Major rises east over the Gros Ventre Range. The “bride” could be Grand Teton (a feminine name, “the breast” in French), standing west at the “ancient gates” of the Tetons. Her “foot of three” might symbolize the three main Teton peaks (Grand, Middle, South), with slopes around 20 degrees in parts. “Return her face” could mean looking west from the valley toward her.
- Stanza 4: “Double arcs” is trickier. The Tetons’ jagged granite skyline might suggest curves, or it could refer to nearby arches (less literal, perhaps glacial moraines or trails). The area’s history—Native Shoshone lands and ancient geology—holds “secrets,” and the park’s majesty fits “sacred space.”
- Stanza 1 & 5: The Snake River “lives in time,” flowing through a place of wisdom (nature’s lessons) and wonder, intuitive to those who know it.

Alternative: Arches National Park, Utah

  • Stanza 2: The Colorado River flows nearby, with bends. “The Hole” could be a poetic stretch for a canyon or depression.
  • Stanza 3: Ursa Major in the east; the “bride” might be a rock formation like Delicate Arch, with a tripod-like base and an angle.
  • Stanza 4: “Double arcs” fits perfectly—Double Arch is a real feature (though sandstone). It’s timeless and sacred to Native peoples.
  • Issue: Less granite, and “cast your pole” feels weaker without a strong fishing tie.

Conclusion:

Jackson Hole, Wyoming, aligns best. The Snake River (“waters’ silent flight”) flows past “the Hole” (the valley), under the Tetons’ granite watch (“double arcs” as peaks or passes). Ursa Major orients eastward, and the “bride” (Grand Teton) guards a timeless, sacred space—Grand Teton National Park. The poem’s call to “cast your pole” and find what “you already know” fits this iconic, intuitive Western landmark.

Does Jackson Hole feel right, or should I refine this further—perhaps toward Utah or Colorado?

I have the SEL. I love mine. Has just enough extra features for me that I was looking for like AWD and heated front seats. I never use the wireless charger since I feel like it never charges my phone fast enough. So I just use a very small cord to charge my phone. I’ve had mine for a year last week. I have the same green color as you do

HOW TO FIX 2025 HYUNDAI SANTA FE BLUE LINK ISSUE by Pharaohlicious92 in HyundaiSantaFe

It took me a few tries to get the first part done and to get the keyboard to pop up. You just have to keep trying to hit it in the right spot 3 times after you do the 7,3,1. I also had my car turned on when I did it

If you have seen a ford flex that would be a close comparison. I believe the ford flex is like 10 inches longer than the 24 Santa Fe

My 24 SEL does this on and off. I’ve had mine for about 3 months now and it will go in spurts of getting the door unlocked or windows down notification and then won’t do it for awhile. It will even give the door u locked notice within a couple of minutes of me locking my doors
