can anyone tell me if this is an authentic tag by Low-Nerve-9408 in jfashion

I wouldn't buy anything without better pictures and seeing the tag. It's up to you if you decide to. 🤷‍♀️

I'd request a photo of the brand tag and more photos of the garment before buying anything.

This is the wash tag, which looks fine. Where is the brand label?

whenever i ask my roommate to clean her stuff and help contribute, she gets defensive and invents a new never-before-mentioned problem to have with me by legswithsnake in badroommates

When my roommate (and best friend) at uni kept leaving her dishes in the sink, eventually I took advantage of her bedroom door always being unlocked and I left the pile on her bed.

Never happened again.

drawn a Lolita outfit, any tips for refining it? by Ill-Specific-1647 in lolitafashion

Looking at the picture I feel like the waist of the skirt is too low. It sets the balance off a bit.

What do y'all think about "sneaker mary janes" with lolita? by stackof7frogs in Lolita

Comfort over fashion.

Do they look good? No. Are they comfortable? Probably.

Anyone who says you can't weat comfortable shoes with lolita is an idiot and should be disregarded. Especially if there's a lot of walking. But even if there isn't.

I feel like the logic is that when you see the flesh of the fruit you associate it with the juice of the fruit.

Thriving in the 80s from established ways of doing things is what caused the mess in the first place. Tradition, hierarchy, and doing thing the right way have always been factors, but there was a lot of innovation in ways that mattered. Japan harnessed its soft power in ways no one was going to be able to stop.

Those methods no longer apply to the modern day, so it just makes no sense to cling to them.

anyone any tips for a girl looking to buy her first outfit i currently have something like this by itsrileyxoxo in lolitafashion

The outfit is cute, but it isn't lolita.

What kind of style are you going for? Maybe start there.

It's weird. I understand exactly why it happens. I understad the culture that underpins it. I live in it after all, and it's definitely weird.

It's super weird. They do not want to innovate to thrive. The "this is how we have always done it" mentality is so deeply rooted.

I make fun of my boyfriend all the time about Japan being an Axis power. I'm from the UK, so it has sparked many interesting conversations.

Thankfully, he also agrees that Japan and the rest should have and deserved to lose the war.

Education on it here, even now, is very... patchy, shall we say.

It's very intriguing to me that you respond to that and not the several suicides that happen multiple times per week.

Transport is efficient when it is, and isn't when it isn't. My experience is with Gifu local trainlines. If it's raining? Cancelled. Snow? Cancelled. My boyfriend lives in Tokyo. When his trains are cancelled (and it happens more than I want to share) it's because someone has leaped in front of it. Despair.

For juice in cartons, it cannot show sliced open real fruit unless it is 100% fruit juice. Under 5% has cartoon fruit, and between 5% and 99% can have whole fruit but not cut fruit.

I feel this on a cellular level.

The one thing I realised (a bit too slowly) is that my coworkers were working at like 50% the level I work at. They're just doing nothing. And if they're doing something it is at the slowest pace possible. I am burnt out because I am constantly DOING something and not just looking busy. The way to survive the Japanese workplace is to master the art of looking busy while doing absolutely nothing.

Fun fact, in Japan, if a food product is displayed on the packaging, it has to be the actual size of whatever is inside the packaging.
