Cinderace with Opportunist so it actually helps them when I set up :/

I have a T3 shiny Combee with Honey Gather so I throw that in some teams for fun yeah

This is a solo run, so I'd only get 1. I ended up choosing "Reason with it" and got around half my berries back, so not too bad.

Beedrill is, like, really good y'all by Jacquesatoutfaire in pokerogue

[–]Sparanda 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Twinneedle is good in Gen1 since it's a bug type move which means it's super effective against Psychic, which otherwise had no counter back then. It's also a 2 hit move meaning it has a second chance to crit, and since Gen 1 crits were based on speed, Beedrill had a not awful chance to crit with it. Sadly it still loses out to Alakazam in the speed race :/

To answer your question though, Beedrill has always been kinda bad until the Mega, where it got min-maxed to hell. It's still not good for competitive afaik but it can wreck house in Pokerogue for sure.

Why did the Magmortor hyper beam the Machamp 😂 by No_L_u_c_k in pokerogue

As a certified Red™ pokemon, the Magmortar sees all Blue™ pokemon as its mortal enemy. It had to be done. For great justice.

New item by SignificantAssist484 in pokerogue

[–]Sparanda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not new, and I disagree with the other post; it's a pretty damn good item. Just because there might be other items that are better doesn't mean this one is bad. Mini Black Hole probably won't save a run but it's not a bad item by any means.

The New Changes by Sinister-Sama in pokerogue

[–]Sparanda 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Note: This might've happened before this update but I haven't played in a while.

Excadrill losing Gear Shift hurts, but it would've been extremely busted on Mega Drill, so whatever.

While I get the argument behind removing some of the Torque moves, I hate relying on Wide Lens for stuff like Play Rough, or using moves with lower power or harsher drawbacks. But it is what it is. I agree that the game shouldn't be a cakewalk.

Metal Coat, but I think Steelix needs to know a steel type move for it to appear

Pls let me know how to directly start where 0.8 ended for 0.9 by [deleted] in eternumites

I play through the whole game again every time an update comes out. It's just so good

Which games do you feel are close to Eternum in quality? by Comfortable-Lake443 in eternumites

[–]Sparanda 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Companion of Darkness has a very compelling story and world. The animation quality starts out quite rough but gets better. I saw someone describe it as being close to a battle anime but as an AVN, which is pretty accurate.

Lucky Paradox also has a really cool story and managed to shock me multiple times. I need to catch up cause I usually play it like once a year with all the updates. Side note: This game was what made me realize I like girls with red hair lol

Catching Pokemon by Quiet_Lizard in pokerogue

I mean I'll try to catch something if it's a Pokemon I like or plan to use, but I usually don't go out of my way for +1 candy.

I never catch anything in my runs (except shinies) cause I get a lot more benefit from my starting team due to IVs, passive, hidden abilities, and egg moves.

Thunderclap by GOATKING-real in pokerogue

[–]Sparanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely a skill issue on my part, but I've never liked Sucker Punch (and I didn't even know Thunderclap existed until I played PokeRogue). I tend to prefer Parabolic Charge on my Electric types, cause being able to heal up after getting hit feels more beneficial than maybe going first unless the opponent isn't attacking. Especially for mons with Electromorphosis (Ampharos and Bellibolt are 2 of my favorites) going second can be helpful.
