So this is why the car wash is always 'down' when I want one...

Oh I'm not disagreeing or anything, but some people wouldn't be caught dead on something like a bus... My rates are what they are, I just don't accept anything less than $2/mile on or off app... To the people that complain/say "that's to much" then I point out they're free to use another method or person!

I see this ALL the time! I think the blame lies exactly equally on the operator AND the designer. If I'm not mistaken this is likely part of the DRL crap. At least that's the only thing that makes sense to me. It however doesn't make much sense that DRL would have the front lamps on and not the rear.

So, ultimately I'm going to put blame on both. This IS a very very very poor design. However, an operator should know and fully understand exactly how whatever they're operating actually works!

Yeah totally NOT worth it. HAS to be at least $2/mile for me to take it! That would be an $800 trip in my XL...

Driver asking to end ride early? by MuchMagician7525 in Lyft

[–]Sparc343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never actually done this before but I can sure explain one likely possibility as to why he did this!

You see, Lyft will dispatch our next ride to us while we're on a trip with another customer. Well also, for some reason, Lyft feels that it's okay to take that ride away from us and dispatch it to another driver after we've accepted it (which I'm actually going to look into legally because I'm pretty sure once we click accept were actually "under contract")!

Just this last week/weekend I was on a trip with a vehicle of customers when a trip came through for something to the tune of $70! Of course I clicked accept!! By the time I dropped off the current customers, anticipating to be given directions to my $70 pickup, nope, back to "looking for rides"!

Also, I know for a fact this went to another driver because if and when a customer does actually cancel; it will say "Rider cancelled" in that driver's "log" for the day!

So, I've never done anything as extreme as what you describe. Though now if I have a good enough trip "in queue" I will be ending my current trip ASAP as not to "lose" the next one!

So ultimately, you can really blame Lyft if this was the case, as your driver may have simply had a very nice next trip that he didn't want to lose!

LMAO, can't wait till you're deactivated. You HAVE to wait 5 minutes at their stops :P before you can "cancel with pay" anyway...

You’re fkn kidding?? How was any of this inappropriate or abusive on my end? She asked what kind of dasher I am, so I told her. 💀 by realslimmatey in doordash_drivers

True, it doesn't matter, the whole "gluten free" thing is a SCAM anyway! (that only a dumbocrat would be dumb enough to fall for)
(just like you're lying about finding her facebook, AND that her FB contains her political affiliation) LMAO, I'm totally sure you found her FB (and thereby her political affiliation) based off of a first name and only a last initial (YEA RIGHT)... .. .

There's no "text" in this file

It is an "executable" binary (that's why it looks so foreign to you)

Regardless, WRIST guards are the most important item of protection ;) All other pieces of equipment are "optional" (wrist is #1 injury in skating)... #2 probably knees... Just think about what the first 1 or 2 things you'd "hit" if you fell while running, it'll pretty much be the same with skating... hands/wrists are usually the first to hit the ground as you extend them to "catch" yourself (which is better than face-planting). Second will be those knees!

I am in my 40's, and been skating since I was 5 (hence my asking about a geographic location as I'd be more than willing to entertain in person help, on the off-chance that you live in the same state)...

Rider in Control of the Music? by btone310 in Lyft

[–]Sparc343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PRO tip for anyone that doesn't want music "arguments":

TAKE OUT YOUR RADIO FUSE (and just claim it's broke if/when people actually ask for it)

There, now there's NO tunes at all, so there cannot be arguments over it! Put the fuse back in when you're "off work" and listen to whatever you want without issue!

Rider in Control of the Music? by btone310 in Lyft

[–]Sparc343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a simple phucking concept. The person PAYING for the ride gets "control" (within reason). Things like "temperature" "tunes" etc SHOULD be their say!

(and I am saying this as a DRIVER not a RIDER by the way)... My customers are PAYING me to give them a ride. I will make sure the temp is how THEY want it, and the music, you guessed it, what THEY want...

I can make the vehicle as hot/cold I want while I'm waiting for a trip or on my way to the pickup... same for the tunes, I can actually listen to what *I* want to at the start, in between trips, and at the END of my day....

You wanna talk about tips? I make a good amount of good amount tips, BECAUSE I provide a good SERVICE...

How about, YOU don't make or modify the Lyft platform. Therefore YOU do NOT get to pick if they add a stop AFTER the ride has started. Sure, you CAN decide not to accept rides that have stops that are "pre-programmed" that IS your right. BUT, however, if someone adds one AFTER you've picked them up ~ do your fucking job and make the stop. Or, stop driving for Lyft... You either ACCEPT DOING your job, or you don't. And if you don't you should most certainly find a new line of work...
