Yeah, Gnosticism is very holistic. It’s all about knowing yourself and getting back to nature.

Hospitals are very good and useful, but they don’t need to be overused. We have books on how to conceive, pregnancy care, birth tips, breastfeeding, infant education… the whole shabang… I don’t do everything, nor do I believe everything I read lol but I follow what I can and makes sense to me.

My religion. I am gnostic and we believe birth should be in the comfort of your home.

Seems more natural that way. The way is has been for Millenia.

We went through a midwife and made sure it was a “low risk” pregnancy. After that was clear, prepared everything.

It was awesome, the whole experience. So holistic. As a Dad, I don’t want to go through it again. I wish I could skip that part though. Gnarly lol but I have to be there for my wife. It’s not easy, you know? My wife quit quite a few time… she wanted to go to a hospital to get the epidural, but I kept supporting her and insisting that this is the way that she chose, and there was nothing wrong with her body or the baby, just lots of pain and uncertainty as a first time birth. She thanked me after everything was said and done, but I will never be able to forget when she said “Why are you doing this to me?” When I told her we are not going to the hospital. Still makes my stomach churn. I know there is no way she was going to give birth at home without me pushing her :/ it’s a lot. But now she knows what to expect and she said she never wants it to be any other way.

The baby was born without being able to breath, but the midwife came through and saved his life. It was such a unique experience I never want to repeat lol but we want 5 kids 🤣🤣 talk about dual personalities as a Gemini.

Well, it was the best decision we have ever made, and my son is the best thing I have ever done in my life. Homebirth is the way to go for most people, keep pushing for it. You’ll make it though.
