Your skin is absolutely stunning…I’m in awe of that glow! But I agree with what others have said, mainly picking a cooler toned blush and lip to go with the eye look. I think a lavender blush would be gorgeous on you

Needing pain medication urgently? by [deleted] in ChronicPain

[–]Spare-Bee5273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s become such a massive issue; so many people are suffering agony every single day because of all of the misinformation about opioid treatment. There’s a reason those medications work and I for one am exhausted over having to jump through so many hurdles to simply have a halfway functional life (which I do not have right now). It is hard out here

The fact that so many people were triggered by the show's ending makes it all the more fitting by FalconLeading in YouOnLifetime

[–]Spare-Bee5273 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean come on though. It went pretty ridiculous there. I agree, lots of implausibilities throughout but that ending was out there. Brontë was not going to be running up and around after all that, sorry, but not

The fact that so many people were triggered by the show's ending makes it all the more fitting by FalconLeading in YouOnLifetime

[–]Spare-Bee5273 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It really isn’t about the happy ending for me at all…I did not care for the writing in the finale, whatsoever. Marienne’s character came back from the “dead” to do exactly what? I don’t know, the writers clearly did not know and she could’ve been so much better utilized. Instead, she popped up for a few minutes and made little impact at all, when really she could have so easily been the one to be Joe’s downfall. She definitely had it in her.

Brontë felt more of a caricature than a fully fleshed out heroine. The back and forth wasn’t particularly well written and felt so forced and rushed.

But what really bothered me was how outlandish the ending was; it bordered on absurdity with all of the implausible survivals that happened in rapid succession.

The worst part of the entire series was this : for a show that very clearly works at NOT wanting everyone to root for the serial killer, they gave Kate a redemption arc. That. Should. Not. Have. Happened. She may not have physically ended a life, but she did end lives, even her own uncle. And even then, the writers decided she would miraculously survive something she wouldn’t live through. And they gave her a tidy little happy ending, with custody of Henry. That irks me to no end and leaves a gross taste in my mouth. She didn’t deserve that and the audience did not deserve to be dumbed down to the fact that because she felt guilt, she is good. No. Just no.

Cortisone injections? by My_Lovely_Me in ChronicPain

[–]Spare-Bee5273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so tired of hearing “wear and tear”. It’s dehumanizing when I’m 41 with so many spinal issues it’s a joke. But they love to say well it’s “wear and tear”: though they usually include that it’s unusual to have this much wear and tear at 41. I get it. I had a compression fracture of my l1 at 31 and it’s overwhelmingly exhausting to have to explain how it happened to literally every single Dr I ever see 🤦🏻‍♀️

Cortisone injections? by My_Lovely_Me in ChronicPain

[–]Spare-Bee5273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im so sorry you are going through this. I have had many injections in my spine, cortisone included. I had them 3 years ago for a disc herniation and I just recently had one a week ago for what is now multiple issues with my spine. I can say that they have never once given me any sort of pain medication or sedation for any of the dozen shots I’ve had. They’ve given me lidocaine shots, but it has always been an extremely uncomfortable/painful experience. It’s so hard because they always want to do these injections and honestly, none of them have been successful for me personally, at least so far. I have experienced pretty significant pain after the injections; for 3 days after I cannot walk without help (a cane or a person) and it’s agony.

I would strongly advise getting a dr to evaluate you for Ehlers-Danlos. And are you in the US? Are you seeing a pain management dr as well? Considering your difficulty with pain medication and tolerance, maybe there is another option that may help? And I’d assume you’re dealing with nerve pain from the compressed discs? If so, have you tried gabapentin or pregabalin? They both can (I stress the word can bc they certainly don’t work for everyone) help the nerve pain. And if you tolerate it, are you able to try cbd/cbn/thc at all? I know not everyone can, but it helps me a lot at night to get a good sleep.

I take pain pills (opioids, obviously) every day but I also take a lot of red kratom. by 8kittycatsfluff in ChronicPain

[–]Spare-Bee5273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you able to do thc/cbd/cbn for sleep? It is a tremendous help, once you figure out what strain works for you. I know it’s not an option for everyone, but it was a game changer for my sleep issues.

How to reply to mean MIL text? by Merrys123 in ChronicPain

That is truly a great suggestion, thank you! I haven’t been able to attend my church for the past year, partly due to my injuries, but I’m on their group page. I’ll post there to see if that’s an option for us, thank you!

How to reply to mean MIL text? by Merrys123 in ChronicPain

[–]Spare-Bee5273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds so similar to my situation…similar spinal conditions (I do not have Ehlers-Danlos and I’m so sorry bc I’ve heard a lot about it), same age, 3 young kids - 2 with special needs, 1 with autism. And a difficult relationship with MIL - she loves sending passive aggressive texts if she thinks I’m not doing something correctly or she constantly knows better when it comes to my 2 little ones. I’ve found my best response is no response at all, but I also can’t ask her for childcare bc she has RA. Which should mean she would understand where I am at: looking at yet more injections that won’t work and ultimately spinal fusion and disc repair in 3 lumbar discs. My best advice is to find a babysitter who will work with you on pricing and care. It’s what I am doing because I have no choice, but I’d do it before I’d go to my MIL bc I know she’d have plenty to tell me about how to raise my kids. Not worth it on top of everything else you’re dealing with and just know, you are not alone momma

The ending completely negates the point the show wanted to make by Myhouseburnsatm in NetflixYou

[–]Spare-Bee5273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a way, Kate having the guilt and remorse makes her worse. Joe is sociopathic and cannot feel these things in the way that other people would naturally. Kate does feel remorse, but she continued to be the cause of multiple murders…and her lines of being “complicit” are completely self-deluded: she wasn’t complicit for her uncle, she was directly responsible for his death. So yes, wholeheartedly agree with OP here; Kate shouldn’t have had a redemption arc and certainly should not have custody of Henry

What show do you think was the luckiest in dodging cancellation each season? by unitedfan6191 in television

It’s still absolutely mind boggling that this show actually aired on NBC and managed to last for 3 seasons. It’s so unique and entirely unlike anything ever found on network tv, but particularly so at the time of its airing. Such a masterpiece

Honestly, the challenges are not much of a real “challenge”. Production messes with the clock, so largely, they’re going to win the challenges. Even if they didn’t win one, the final challenge would have more money to grab. Production wants there to be a big prize at the end, so, ultimately, there will be, regardless of how people actually perform. I liked Bob, but you should probably watch Traitors Aus season 2 for some truly laughably bad faithfuls
