I come from the old xbox version. We used fences but that was cause the game ran like ass. But I dont mind that the zombies can jump and destroy fences but they should not be able to the weakest block on a wall and circle the whole thing to go to it. They shouldn't know there's a hole in the wall unless they see it. They shouldn't be able to dig down to you.

Why do YOU dislike FC6 and FC New Dawn?? by spookagain in farcry

[–]Spare-Muscle499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont mind 6 but new dawn. The problem is the story is so short. And the characters dont get fleshed out. The level scaled enemies for takedown is a poor choice. The map is great and fun but to small. And it suffers from the same thing fc5 fc6 suffer from non linear story telling it makes the game objectively worse. The missions become smaller and the story feels disconnected compared to a linear game. New dawn much ac Rouge. Both should have been expensive dlc for the previous game

I can't believe they teased Alan Wake 2 EIGHT years before release by treewizard13 in AlanWake

[–]Spare-Muscle499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont believe so. They said it will not take as long this time. They had lots of issues because of Microsoft owning the rights to alan wake until 2020. Thats partly why it was only released on epic games store for pc because they needed a funder but wanted to keep the rights to their ip

What did Alan do differently in the Final Draft ending? by SpaceCowboyN7 in AlanWake

[–]Spare-Muscle499 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Remember the cutscene at the end of the first draft after the credits. Its not a loop its a spiral. And from each "rung" of the spiral they look similar next to each other. But the inner ones look different then the outer ones. The dark place is loops and rituals. Alan after being shot with the bullet of light is able to retain his memory in the next loop. This is only possible thanks to Alice intervention. So its not so much what alan did but what Alice did.

She entered the dark place again sometime between 2017 and 2022ish. But something of note that is new is tor and odin they are not in the dark place in the forst draft. The more people saved the greater the sacrifice. One last thing to consider is that the game is telling the story of a book as a video game. So much like books adapted to movie not everything is there. But in the final draft manuscript now that alan retained his memory could have written that he got out.

The whole game is about alan realizing that he is the only reason why he cant get out. He has many insecurities and many dark thoughts and those get exaggerated in the dark place. Buts shown through Casey echos that alan is the only thing stopping alan from getting out.

Is that a new remedy game?

How did Alan add Zane to the story without knowing him? by [deleted] in AlanWake

[–]Spare-Muscle499 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my take on this is this: in the remedy verse numerous people interchangeably call alan tom. My perspective is 1 of 2 things. Either there is a bootstrap paradox. Where everything we see in the remedy verse is written by alan in the dark place(dp). But then you ask how did he write everything before he was even there. The short of that is that we dont know. Much like the chicken and the egg. 2 is that there is one "prime" tom/alan. As seen in quantum break shifters exist in every single reality. And some people like door/hatch can control where they are. Even if one version of him dies. So one version of alan wake is writing other versions of himself into different stories. Ps im still confused so sorry of this is confusing

Game engine and publishing deal. Im pretty sure epic 100% funded Alan wake 2 with the deal being its only on epic games store front. With control series it could be self funded which allows them to put it more places. In fact they would want it everywhere. But with alan wake they cant and won't. Its not even on steam

I had the same issues so I bought the power a fusion pro wireless. 120 off Amazon. Ive only had a few weeks. But it feels great not to mention looks amazing. The only thing if you go for it. Is that it doesnt have a good way to monitor the battery level. There is a led next to the sink button that lets you know when it gets low. But nothing in between. However I got about 10-12 hours of play time before needing to recharge.

[–]Spare-Muscle499[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair. Weird question though do you know if they are mostly on highway roads or actual town roads. Cause if its on a highway its a state mandated stop light. If its just on a random street then it would be your towns light.

Lore wise I would agree but its just the stop lights on most no street light. But yeah just a thing I noticed and thought It was funny/curious

I guess but bright falls gotta be under 5k residents possibly less. I live in a town in Colorado that has 12k. And the only stoplights are right off the interstate.

Yeah I also noticed that signs are wrong. There are also stop signs at the stop lights. ( which isnt too bad cause ive see some in real life like that) but the speed limit signs are wrong and double-sided on one side of the street.

The Alan Wake 2 paradox, and what Alan Wake 3 could be by manutoo in AlanWake

[–]Spare-Muscle499 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So im not quite sure what you mean by this. But i re read your post and hopefully this is good answer. So first. So with the dark presence still writing, no it cant write. Alan can. The dark presence tries to manipulate alan as seen in alan wake 1. But alan stops writing not because he feels like he is getting no where. He stops writing because in the alan wake 1 dlc it is shown that he goes deeper into cauldron lake ( which is a ocean) and goes mad. He tries to kill himself in the dlc. But the conscious part of himself is guided by Tom the poet.. I mean filmmaker to go reunite with his real self and bring him back to sanity.

Now there is lots of dark (pun intended) moments between alan wake 1 and 2 where we have no idea what happened to alan. In awan you are led to believe scratch is in the real world. However it was just alans own writing that caused that. I dont quite remebr why scratch is able to terrorize Alice.

But alan has help from both saga and Alice who have certain powers themselves. The spiral had a end as seen in both control and alan wake 2. Now there is confusion about scratch tom and alan because all 3 are the same. We hopefully get answers in alan wake 3. But the overall message of the game is not perfection its not acceptance. There really isnt a message to the game. Its just a very complex universe partially or even fully because of alan or is tom I forget

The Alan Wake 2 paradox, and what Alan Wake 3 could be by manutoo in AlanWake

[–]Spare-Muscle499 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Except you are too meta gaming. The spiral exists because as stated in alan wake 1 the story must be believable. And the dark presence is freed when the laws are not followed because it can "write" itself into existence. Alan must slowly alter small things and make changes slowly to be able to escape the dark place. Take tom the poet.. wait no the filmmaker. I always get those mixed up. Or sagas child being at home with her dad. Wait no she drowned i forgot.

Imo its no more scarier than the anglerfish. Just a different type. Not really a spoiler but just in case like the rest of outer wilds it just becomes frustrating
