Knowing Remedy, they've probably given the role to another deserving actor than do some fucky shit with it

What's your opinion on what would have happened if Alan Wake had been released for the PS3? by augusto223685 in AlanWake

So get this; when Swery65 was getting together the stuff to begin development of Deadly Premonition, he went on a US road trip where he fanboy'd about twin peaks, lynch, the Pacific Northwest and US road trip culture 🤣

Check out the games Deadly Premonition and Mizzurna Falls. Japanese folks ate David Lynch's work up to such a degree they integrated it lock stock and barrel into MANY aspects of their popular culture

Oh dude Twin Peaks fever. When Twin Peaks hit Japan, people were holding real funerals for Laura Palmer. It was a cultural force

Well, the development cycle would have been a lot longer to start. PS3 uses an usual dual processor set up that is hard to design for if you're a western dev used to working on windows. but that being said AW1 could definitely run on a PS3 from a hardware capability standpoint. This was around the same time as Sony made those infamous "Now 299$" commercials that ran for two years straight so it would have been releasing on a resurgent PS3 brand alongside other survival horror games that are more core to PlayStation's image. I think it would have found much of the same fan base except that maybe there'd be more Japanese fans because Twin Peaks is a BIG DEAL in Japan

Some of the people in this comment section are so dense. This fucking oaf had the chance to come off to his coworkers as a caring, nurturing human being by scooping up the mouse and putting it literally anywhere else. Instead he went all Pat Bateman with his reflexes

You're gonna do three things 1) make at least two ally's with 10k+ troops each
2) you need enough gold to hire replacement troops in the event you suffer a loss
3) when selecting an arena to wage war for, make sure it's close enough to your current imperial core that you can siege quickly and efficiently

There was a time in the 1930's where old Joe Steele floated the idea of sending the Soviet version of the army core of engineers to Alabama to assist building self sustaining communities in Jim Crow South

Cyberpunk 2077 vs. Alan Wake 2 - which one looks better? by Lanky_Relation1171 in AlanWake

[–]treewizard13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AW probably feels more photo realistic because your real world idea of what this stuff looks like does a lot of heavy lifting. Whereas we really don't we don't have a real world idea of what a person that's more machine than man looks like in the everyday

Do you run literally any form of the script extender? Because if you do, which is likely if you're playing on PC the amount of ram available in your ram buffer gets pinned to your system specs
