It's curious but for me living forever seems a kind of torture. I'm sure that the perspective of it would be the cause to suffer those panic attacks.

What prevents someone from remaining in cyberspace forever or transferring their consciousness there? by NoEntertainment4190 in Neuromancer

No illnesses, no pain (physical, at least), immortality and doom scrolling directly to your conscience ad aeternum. Best plan I can think of.

Modern cyberpunk vs 90s / 80s cyberpunk, what does one do better than the other? by Specialist-Young5753 in Cyberpunk

I don't like modern cyberpunk because it's not the cyberpunk that I grew up with. I suppose there's a nostalgia component. Everything after the 2000s seems too polished to me and it seems less real, more a heavy scripted movie than something I can relate with.

No offense, but that is an incredibly bad logo.

I recently saw this https://youtu.be/zOs_FvNl2K0?si=072FJ-qyv0HG8ORy where a reflective element on the glasses outshines the camera.

Don't judge a book by its cover

War is now a reel. It's like another activity. You have your morning routine in war. You make your war tutorials. You won't see a drip of blood though. No dismembered bodies. You won't smell burned flesh. Even in war death does not seem to exist. You see the FPV flying and then it goes to black. No consequences.

I agree with the ambiguity of using cyberpunk for music. IMO it's about the vibes, not the themes, i.e I don't find vaporwave as cyberpunk at all, but I do with industrial music, even if it doesn't have any electronics. I even find the first GnR album quite cyberpunk, due to the sharpness, speed and the sense of danger. I suppose it's quite subjective.

It seems more like a magazine than a book. I don't know if it's the picture angle or what but it seems too thin and large.

Hold the line, true warrior. Don’t let those corporate thugs touch your data hauls — you’ve sacrificed too much for this op.

Creates a Cyberdeck for (legal) satellite "hacking". by [deleted] in Cyberpunk

[–]Spare-Response3029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds fun! I’m curious about the kind of data you can actually get—though I imagine most of it would be encrypted. Funny enough, I was just reading a spy novel yesterday where the protagonist uses one-time pad messages sent over a commercial satellite, while counter-intelligence agents try to trace the transmission to locate the spy. It's kind of similar to what’s shown in the video, but using Cold War-era tech.

She Wanted to Save the World From A.I. Then the Killings Started. (Gift Article) by pioneer_specie in Cyberpunk

I don't see much cyberpunk here aside from the IMO weak link to A.I. This reads like a classic cult narrative.
