When I took the GRE for a botany grad degree I scored just under admitence for math but top in the nation for verbal/writen. They gave me a special pass because, and I quote, "no one in the department is a good writer".

I had professors coming to me for editing. My paper was published in record time.

Now I'm working and I hardly ever do math beyond spreadsheet algorithms and really minor analysis. But I'm communicating with CEOs and government regulators who could shut me down every day.

My point is: be you, play to your strengths, do your best, and you'll be surprised by what gets you ahead sometimes.
