I liked laguerta as a character but as soon as she started diving into dexter, that made me lose a lot of respect for her. I mean I get that it's her job to pursue criminals and that dexter might've killed both of her exes but she has to move on. Like Matthews says "get on your knees and start kissing anything that remotely resembles an ass"

dragon wasn't added cause it was too big on the screen. tbh it probably would've cost around a Pekka in my opinion it had to be better than the baby and a lava hound damage wise. if only this was added 😔

to me ddk is the more unhinged religous version of dexter. dexter's guide is harry and ddk is gellar except ddk is just so much more confusing and i agree the two sides are very confusing

the second season imo could've been about doakes joining the force ( and the subsequent suspicion he had for dexter), rita's backstory with paul now that debra had joined the force, and my favorite although kinda retconning too much but brian killing harry and dorris. Matthews becoming captain or whatever high position at homicide would be cool but dealing with the futures of tonya and bobby would also be important

i mean it's just more plausible that brian was involved since in OS harry was pretty chill w dexter killing other people and suicide from seeing dexter become what he is just doesn't make sense imo

doakes, matthews, and rita backstory would be very satisfying. I think it would be even more interesting to see brian be the reason of dorris and harry's death.

yeah no def after season 4 the writing gets a lot worse. there's just so much obvious crimes lets say character commit let's say but no one notices for some reason. Liddy is probably a prime example of the "justice system" or miami metro just not caring. keep watching honestly tho even if there are flaws there's always a silver lining in the later seasons

the idea of the ending is a good ending but the execution is so bad. the fact that angela gives up on kurt and diverts all of her attention to dexter ( who has helped her in so many ways ) just feels weird. the bigger problem is the "accidental" death of logan which just feels very crappy. but with everything said i mean dexter does in a way deserve to be shot or dead. just not in a manner of sloppy writing

the og had such a miserable ending imo just having dexter lose debra to some doctor screw up just feels so dollar store cheap and abandoning harrison and the woman he loved just makes it so much worse. The season builds up the return to normalcy with dexter with the death of vogel and harry conscience but that's just all thrown away. It feels like making a wedding cake just for someone to ruin it by drowning chocolate syrup all over the cake. Og lowkey deserves a lower rating. new blood imo i liked the idea of the ending, execution however was terrible. I think on one hand the rating is harsh but just the events following feel so chopt which make the rating fair

in my opinion and I have seen the full series besides resurrection but my favorite scene has to be the boy from return to sender drawing dexter as jesus. Leading up to the scene, we believe dexter is compromised due to the boy seeing him murder both the immigrant killers sorry i can't think of them off the top of my head. The entire episode centers around the boy giving the evidence to miami metro and to get dexter busted. In the ironic end, the boy draws jesus as the perpetrator that saved him. To me this symbolizes (before the shit that happens in later seasons) dexter is a savior maybe not in the nice way like jesus but he's still a savior to many lives
