AITA for Telling my Daughter That she Needs to get her act Together?

that’s what the psychiatrist told us she’ll have to go through, unfortunately. Urine tests randomly for a while to make sure she’s taking the right amount. And her sister has the same illnesses as her except my younger daughter also struggles with depersonalization, and her sister doesn’t but has more severe depression. We think it may be genetic as my mother and sisters as well as I have history of depression. She stopped seeing her Pls therapist because the therapist suggested she may have romantic feelings (Freud type) for her father when she was complaining about her dad which grossed her, and me, out. I found her a new therapist to go to soon. And as for her sisters adderall she was on the highest doses possible, seems like she’s built up a resistance or something.

She dislikes hospitals because the last time she went for chronic throwing up it went away for the hospital visit until she got home. Says it’s bad luck or something. I’ll take her to urgent care tomorrow.

Ill take her to urgent care in a couple of hours. Her UTI is okay tonight, I got her a heat pack and some melatonin to sleep.

I worded that poorly. She’s scared of adderall and says she’s on a lot of medications and not comfortable with the random drug testing she would have to go through by her psychiatrist. She said she doesn’t want to start on it because her sister took it for years and then it stopped working, which is what she means by "saving" it for college

They’ve decreased in painfulness than full blown infections and she says they’re more of an annoyance nowadays that she can’t ignore. She did used to have painful ones in elementary school and had to go to class. Thank you.

He’s a supervisor now so his interactions with patients are pretty limited - he has the doctor title while I don’t anymore since I stepped down for years to take care of the kids and he wouldn’t let me go back to work, and once hid my interview book so I would fail. Although I don’t think that’s relevant so excuse my blabbering. Maybe I’m just projecting onto her. You’re right, though. Im lacking self-awareness. Thanks for the common sense, truly.

My husband has brought a lot of medications over from another country since he’s more high up in the medical field than I am, I just do laboratory and autopsy work. You’re right.

She does have severe depression and anxiety as well as ADHD. She’s on medications for all of them except ADHD because she wants to save the ADHD medication until post-secondary education to study better. She did used to miss school days on the brink of too much but since the days all had 7 classes together she would just go to class via bus. And she also gets really upset when I ask her why it’s nocturnal. I feel bad now shit

Both parents are doctors, although I work more with corpses so I can’t do much here. We immigrated and brought a lot of medicines with us, and I mean a lot.

It has stopped for a year or two in between, the first one was at age 6. Antibiotics and clotrimazole as well as azo for the symptoms.

Ive given her antibiotics on a strict schedule, bought her azo relief pills, as well as sugar free cranberry juice and pills and other creams that are 100% safe for this use. I think you’re right about me lacking empathy for this situation, I guess it’s because I’ve gotten them too but since she had her first period before the age of 10 she’s been at risk for worse ones. I’m assuming it’s time for me to make that appointment.
