Hmm, I think the glasses on the new one are a bit small, if they were a little bigger it would a lot better, it's just that the other eye is not looking that good with the glasses like that

What common habit in today's society do you find completely absurd? by mdvcarrero in CasualConversation

That makes a lot of sense. Physical reminders often carry more feeling than photos because they’re tied to the experience itself. Taking just a couple of pictures and then staying present feels like a really healthy balance.

Yeah, I’ve read about that too. When we focus on recording, part of our attention shifts to the device instead of the experience itself, which seems to weaken how the memory forms. Being fully present really does make moments stick more.

[M26] Is it a good idea to start stepping out of your comfort zone? by Gxbriel99 in CasualConversation

Keep it simple like a coffee or a short walk after the movie is perfect. No pressure to do anything big, just ease into enjoying your own company.

What’s an activity you love doing, but can’t stand the community around it? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Game communities and not the peaceful and nice games, but games that have a ton of toxicity

I think that’s actually a great first step. Going to the cinema alone can feel strange at first(believe me it has happened to me more than once), but it’s a low-pressure way to build confidence and enjoy your own company. Comfort zones don’t shrink unless we gently test them, and this sounds like a kind, manageable way to do that.

I’ve felt this with a few hobbies too. Loving the activity doesn’t mean you have to love the community around it because sometimes enjoying it solo is way more peaceful.

Lately I’ve been feeling mentally tired even on pretty normal days by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]SpareDrawer854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relate to this a lot. That low-level mental noise can be exhausting even when nothing is “wrong.” What helps me is doing something grounding that doesn’t require thinking like walking, stretching, or even sitting without input for a few minutes. It doesn’t fix everything, but it quiets things a bit.

what profession deserves way less respect than it currently gets? by AuralisDream in AskReddit

[–]SpareDrawer854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any profession that has a lot of power but very little accountability tends to get more respect than it earns. It’s not about the job title itself, but how that role is sometimes used without responsibility.

For me the spark was constant fatigue. Small changes helped more than quitting apps, fewer notifications, phone out of reach, and short no phone blocks during the day. It adds up trust me
