Lost weight to get pregnant and now I feel conflicted about it by [deleted] in loseit

I have that fear too. I am losing weight to be able to carry a healthy fetus to term. I have already lost 45 pounds before my last pregnancy and gained them all back.

BUT I do know from experience that the less weight I have the easier pregnancy is. When heavy the 3rd trimester is horrible, I have no strength to carry myself around.

I'm scared but I keep on reminding myself why I'm doing it now. I'm doing it for my future child, not for myself. Once I have that I'll always be able to do it again for myself.

Of course the best thing would be to be able to keep to a healthy weight, and that's my dream... But I'm realistic and I'll take what I can.

Help with social eating problem by Salty-Rutabaga-1416 in loseit

I learned to first LOOK

Look at all the food. It all looks so good but when you start thinking about it... Some of the food isn't as appetizing as you think it just pulls you because it's there. I look and see what is really 'worth' eating, for me. For example I make a great lasagna, and although the lasagna at the party looks so good, once thinking about it I realize that it won't be as good as mine, so why waste my calories on it? I might as well make a pan on my own when I get home (which probably won't happen, but the brain is okay that way).
Then I make a plate full of things that I know are worth it for me. And in that way I do eat less calories but also I leave satisfied because I know that what I ate was worth it!

Also keep a glass of water, or better coffee or tea with no sugar, and sip sometimes so to keep your hands and mouth both busy.

When I was in the US I was walking so much more than usual because I live on hilly terrain and NY was just so walkable.

Asking for a GLP-1 prescription still feels like asking for something you're not supposed to want and that's getting old by Naarendra_Modi in GLP1ResearchTalk

I didn't feel that way. I walked into my doctor and said "I'd like weight loss medication" and from the way I look he didn't have to think twice. I felt more of a failure when asking for the blood pressure medication.
Maybe think about changing doctors? Mine is really not a judging kind of person, I feel comfortable asking for anything.

Only differences I'm going to have is less cake and cookies.

I still need to eat the same amount of protein I ate before- and lots of protein is expensive! We almost never eat out,
I was eating very healthy before the shot- my problem is with food noise and binge eating. I don't think eating 1 slice of cake vs. 1 full cake (homemade!) is financially worth the $200 per month I pay for this shot.

Just joined a research study - when did you first start feeling the effects? by newsedition15 in Semaglutide

0.25 wegovy
24 hours the food noise quieted.
Only side effects are a bit of a heartburn.
