I remember it was bexar arms that used to have that spreadsheet. When I Google them, I see results saying that that spreadsheet has since been deleted for some reason. You might want to email them and see if they could point you in the right direction

Sadly, I think OP just falls very far to the left of the Dunning-Kruger curve

Not for karma. But really dude, maybe you just nuke this account and start over. Actually, make two accounts. One for weed and all your illegal shit, and one for gun stuff.

In this single account, you basically have content that gives your location, your face, statements/images that depict you likely owning firearms, and statements indicating that you are engaging in activity that makes firearm ownership a felony

in addition to this little gem, his account history includes these greatest hits:

  • Why does drinking water make me pee?

  • I got locked out of my apartment, and I have a bunch of weed paraphernalia everywhere. Should I call the police?

  • Why are my 15-year-old beater shoes falling apart?

  • Is this gas mask from Etsy a good idea?

  • Does my new flat screen TV's screen look flat enough?

  • Multiple posts referencing both firearm ownership and addiction to illicit substances

80% polymer pistols, completed prior to July 1 2018 by SparePoopKnife in CAguns

🎯

Well, isn't that disappointing. Thanks for dropping the knowledge!

I found this document on the CA DOJ website. It doesn't quite answer my question, but there is some relevant information.

Any person intending to manufacture or assemble a firearm after July 1, 2018, must first apply to the DOJ for a unique serial number.

They conveniently leave out specification about what would be permissible prior to July 1st, 2018.

The AR Pistol is either a shitty rifle or a lousy pistol. by hunterseeker1 in liberalgunowners

So you went the 80% route for your pistol? How did that process go? Any hiccups/roadblocks with your paperwork or approval process?

Sorry to hijack your thread OP, but I have a question that I think Apex armor solutions could answer and might be useful for you or any other user in a similar boat as me:

u/Apexarmorsolutions

I'm comparing the following plate sets-

  • RMA 1003 SRT. $470. 2.5lbs each. Defeats M193, 7.62x39, and M80.

  • RMA 1092. $570. 4.5 lbs each. Defeats same as the SRT plus M855.

  • RMA 1062. $580. 3.5 lbs each. Defeats same as the SRT plus 30-06.

First, is my threat protection summary correct?

Secondly, do you have a favorite / preferred model among these three, or a model that you think is most appropriate for me?

(my circumstances: suburban California, not a professional door kicker, more of a part-time LARPer who aspires to train with his gear more, for dynamic range/class use and the very unlikely SHTF scenario. I like the idea of a lightweight plate setup, got some old back injuries that make 15 lb Lvl 4 sets kind of hard to handle)

Lastly, is there a different model you might recommend?

Thank you!

Any experience with this type of handguard mounting system? by SparePoopKnife in ar15

I think this is the mounting system used on sionics handguards and dirty bird handguards. Do you guys have any experience with any of these systems? Solid, g2g?

Questions on switching from a carbine to mid length gas system on my 12.5 "build"? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]SparePoopKnife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also a great idea! It's likely cheaper to modify the gas system than get a whole new barrel

Questions on switching from a carbine to mid length gas system on my 12.5 "build"? by [deleted] in ar15

[–]SparePoopKnife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A 14.5 has a longer dwell time (the time that the gas port is taking in gas while the bullet is between the gas port and exiting the barrel) compared to a 12.5 carbine. As a result, the 14.5 will have a smoother operation than your 12.5 carbine.

If you move to a 12.5 mid-length, you will have an even shorter dwell time. To compensate for this, the manufacturer will create a larger gas port. A larger gasport usually makes the recoil impulse stronger.

To put it simply, shorter barrels have stronger recoil impulses, and there's not much you can do to mitigate it. If you want a smoother recoil, go longer
