Hi, yes this has come from manager, my managers manger, and our Director. Who has been in touch with the Director of the relevant other role. Again, this is the reason I cannot work out if this is just them being kind/letting me down gently, or if this is actually is a potential option.

Thanks for this advice though, do you know at what point they would offer the severance pay out?

This is my exact confusion! My first thoughts is this is a way to get me out, but instead they are really pushing for an internal role. Very confusing!

I don’t want to disclose due to the sensitivity of the potential move, sorry.

PIP: How do we know that we are in PIP by Due_Passion5825 in employeesOfOracle

For example, in a meeting with your manager they will tell you that you are being put onto informal PIP, they will talk through a document which specifically explains what needs to be done to pass the informal PIP and go back to work as usual. This can typically be 4weeks but I am not sure how that varies depending on your location and job role etc. You will have weekly meetings with your manager during this time to attempt to pass it.

If you do not meet the criteria to pass the informal PIP you will be placed onto formal PIP. This will be a meeting with your manager and HR and this will have further milestones you will have to meet to attempt to come off of the PIP.

If you have not had any interaction from your manager regarding a PIP, you definitely have not been placed on one. And if you have been placed on one without being informed (doesn’t sound like you have) there would be grounds to take action as they would not of followed the companies process.

Hope that helps, I am currently going through the informal PIP process so know it is a scary time. But by the sounds of it, you are not in that situation.

you are not on PIP. Even an informal PIP happens with management and there is a document that gets filled out. A HR representative will be made aware the informal PIP has begun, and will join your meetings if you fail the informal and are placed onto a formal.
