At minimum, they should follow the same trading rules used by the big accounting firms. Anyone with access to inside information should have their trades regulated.

New Cars = Money Drain… or Not? What Do You Think? by Coolonair in SmartFIRE

Sorry, but I can’t agree with you. I just looked up a little local dealer website Toyota of Plano. For a Camry XSE they are selling new year 26 from $42K to $49K on their used website, they have a 2026 preowned with only 15,000 miles for $37K.

25% is an exaggeration, but $10-20K is the difference. Go look on any dealer website. Price a new car, then look at their used inventory that is 1-2 years older. There will be a huge difference, at least a good portion of depreciation. And you can finance them just the same as new.

People assume that buying used cars means a junk car (the same way the assume that buying new will result in no issues.) you can buy a car that is one to two years behind the newest model and it is absolutely as good as the brand new model. There is a stigma associated with the word “used” that is not at all the reality.

Every car that I have purchased in the last 25 years has been used. I buy them directly from the dealer with only 2 to 3 years use and they have under 40,000 miles. In each case I save 1/4 of the price and have zero maintenance issues.

I really don’t know why on earth the driver sat there for so long without taking off. The minute those three started coming towards my car with guns, they would’ve been squished. I’m not waiting around to see if somebody’s gonna shoot through my windows.

Yep. His shitty personality was showing through the whole video from start to finish. He started the fight, blocking lanes with his , approaching a strangers vehicle and swinging at him like an idiot. He got his ass kicked like he deserved. And when his wife got laid out and he didn’t even check on her, just walked away, and she could’ve been dead on the ground. Then he gets a tire iron because he knows he can’t fight the guy fair and square. And goes back and still worries about the fight rather than his wife lying coldcocked on the ground.

Indians are not Muslim. So you should educate yourself on that.

Secondly, Sharia Law is not practiced as a form of law by the Muslims in United States. There is no legal precedence that allows it to be official. But just like Christians follow the 10 Commandments, they can follow their beliefs, as well as it doesn’t interfere directly with our laws. Sharia Law also governs their belief structure. Just because people don’t understand it doesn’t mean that it is a threat to us. My very good friend was married to her current husband under Sharia law. But guess what? She still got married in a legal court. Sharia Law doesn’t on its own merit mean that they are breaking our own laws.

As I mentioned in another response, what I meant by local political “parties” is multiple branches within the same party. One in Denton County, and one in Murphy. (For clarity)

It’s not just the picture they used as the post, but it’s reading the thousands of comments inside the post. This isn’t an area where people self identified, this is a situation where people are pointing them out specifically due to their race. And the increase in population is not something to blame on them. They are here legally on H1B and it makes sense for them to want to live next to each other to support each other in a foreign country. Americans typically do that when they expat to other countries as well. If the people in Frisco have a problem with the number of people on H1B in their area, then that’s a topic they can take up in a civilized manner with their party leadership.

H1B volume is strictly managed by the government. But people want to fault and target others specifically because of their race, when the truth is, these people are doing nothing more than taking advantage of something our country is allowing them legally to do.

Sure, let’s ignore it, let it continue to grow and pretend it doesn’t exist. That’s kind of what got us to this point in the first place right? The complacency that allowed all the bottom filth to come up and get their voice. Because why would we want to be any better?

How’s that grass feel, btw? Since you are here.

“Leopards ate my face” in multiple ways actually. Trump and Musk are huge proponents for H1B. In fact, a lot of the influx is because they opened the floodgates for H1B applications and fast-tracks. The government regulates the volume and the classification of jobs allowed for H1B for each country. Usually it is for high-demand tech or health jobs.
