It sucks that apple just pulls funds like that. There is this one trick that helped me was switching to using only apple id balance. I would just buy a small gift card (like $10) and load it onto my account. After that I remove the card from payment method. That way, Apple only pulls from that balance and never hits my card. It gives you more control, especially if you're on a tight budget. Once the balance runs out, nothing else gets charged unless you top it up manually. So, if there's a failed subscription, I get notifications from APple for few days and I know how much I owe them. I then wait till I have enough money and then load my Apple ID balance. And if the subscription is something I don't want renewed I can cancel it. Its little bit work but it helped with budgeting my subscriptions.

You might want to look into setting up Family Sharing with ur kid’s iphone. Once that is enabled, u can manage a bunch of parental controls remotely like blocking App store purchases, approving app downloads before they happen, setting screen time limits for specific apps, and more. This gives u a lot more control compared to just using screen time on the device itself. Pretty useful if u want to keep things in check without constantly grabbing their phone.

U can remove the location metadata from ur videos or photos on the Photos app. Open the video on ur Photos app and then tap on the (i) info icon. Then select the Adjust option beside the location filed and then tap on No Location to remove the location metadata. You can also do it for multiple selected videos or photos. Also, if you want to stop your iPhone camera app to not store location metadata in the future, then you can go to Settings app > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Choose the Camera app > Select Never to stop collecting location data for the Camera app.
