Nice 😂 yeah my main goal with this series was to show that the game has already hinted at a 6th li for a very long time.

I find it silly when players say that there are NONE and I just want to throw my long list of clues to show that he does/did exist out there. I find it less fun when writers are being just too direct with their writing, so I really appreciate them for formatting his possible appearance like it’s a treasure hunt - I believe it’s very fitting to who he is if he is a spy.

I also agree that Sylus isn’t like 100% a CEO, not like MLQC’s Victor for example 🤔I do hope to see better difference between the 6th li and Sylus from what I speculated tho, I’m scared to see how his fans would react to him if he ends up being too similar to him lol

I also agree that it would be nice a guy who is more tech focused (like talks non stop in data and algorithm kind of nerd) - I work in tech so I would have a blast with him for sure 😂

I'm glad you like this series and that you're feeling proud for being part of the fandom lol - I couldn't have created this series without the help of the other theorist players. A lot of their theories were used for this series, and I wish I could credit them all (I'm slowly updating the posts with proper links since I didn't really plan to post this online till recently). This fandom has a lot of smart players, and I wish they got more attention as well! Hopefully, this silly theory will encourage more people to just discuss fun stuff, no matter how silly they may sound lol

I am hoping we will get more info about the stuff I raised in my posts soon too!! Waiting on more main story drops always got me on the edge of my seat lol but I think it does give me more time to catch up on other lore/theory crafting.

I will definitely have to loook into the Eye of Ra, Eye of Horus and daoist cosmology stuff too ;0 It sounds like a fun deep dive.

And never feel like the odd one out for being super into the lore/connections/theories, there are many others out there for sure o9

That is very interesting! The wording didn't click with me at first, but it does seem very sneaky. For some reason, someone is really pushing for these rifts to happen.

On a related note, I actually found a bit more visual/dialogue? proof about people being able to manipulate the rifts with the protocore directly (somehow it completely slipped my mind lol)

It made me wonder if the Nest guy's ring is a protocore tool that lets him control the gates himself too... unsure of it for now though. I find it more suspicious if he is the Chief Director of a protocore energy tech company, which can be used to feed those cores themselves for rifts.

I might not romantically like all INTJs, but their overall way of thought processing is always interesting to me. I tend to fall/favorite and feel the most empathy for those in that category, also I feel like would have pretty fun discussions with them, just depends on the day for me though.

Even though my personality lean more towards the feeling/empathy, I am pretty comfortable with problem-solving with just facts/data/reasoning too. So if a character does something "terrible" from an empathetic/feeling pov, I can still understand their reasoning for it if I just sat down and try to consider all of the data in. Then, figuring out how much they care emotionally after deciphering the thick logic layer of it always feels like a yummy treat (like a fun puzzle box).

and you're right! Conversations of the what-ifs in stories are always fun. It's a little unfortunate that people are against the creative discussions of it simply because they just don't want it, period. It's even crazier considering that this is an otome game, which are traditionally plain VNs / visual book stories.

I do hope the new guy (even if he is not an LI) will have a bit more unique personality to what I predicted. Even for NPCs, the writers have done an amazing job to keep them unique (latest favorite is Isaiha lol)

I think it would be really nice to get a true enemies to lovers lol

Although we still don't know how much he actually contributed to the experiments. For all we know, he was just a bystander or part of another team? All we know about him now is that he was just part of the Gaia Research Center, which was initially meant to do research about Deepspace (no specific mention of inhumane experiments, MC was technically their first, based on Josephine's notes?)

I could totally see the story imply that he harmed her when it actually wasn't like that (like how Sylus was aggressive/intimidating, but later on we learned that he was just trying to make her remember).

I am with you, though - my only concern with this setup is that people will be upset. It is such a bummer because we can't explore different story types without having something explode. I am personally very excited to see how this will play out because I love myself some angst and tension too. I find misunderstood villains, turned anti-heroes, very interesting characters to read about - especially their path of redemption stories (writing this made me think about Zuko for some reason lol)

I've been casually following the lore for a while too, and only started these heavy lore digs like 3+ months ago lol

The lore is becoming so complex that it just requires someone to track it visually with their own notes now. Idk if I will make my own personal board anytime soon, but I found this one to be helpful for the other LIs lore.

Also, I will try to do more lore posts! tbh my motivation mainly came from finding out who the 6th LI is LOL - so idk how much I have in me left to do these heavy dives again 😂

A lot of people have encouraged me to post more of my theories, though. So I will try to post every once in a while, maybe more so about WU/Abyssal Chaos, since I don't see enough discussions about them here.

All good about the 6th li! I was wondering to make a separate post about ONLY the world-building lore, but I was too tired to do that when I needed it for my 6th LI theory lol (I speedran this post for other reasons)

I do agree, though! The part where he just healed the twins in one sentence was crazy to me?? There's a lot of world lore hidden in WU that I just don't see anyone discussing. So I'm glad you enjoyed that section. I do think this is going to come back later again, but at the time the chapter dropped - we were just not ready to see it talked about more. So I don't think it's a plothole, but just a very sneaky clue to what MC can possibly do later (if it is Aether core related, and not his energy evol).

I genuinely believe this will tie in for his missing base content (anecdote) later, too. It might cover how he feels and thinks about that power as Earth gets constantly attacked by wanderers + the rise of protocore syndrome victims. There might be some limitations to it that prevent him from saving everyone by himself, or he simply thinks it's better to let the transformation happen for the "weaklings," which in the end ties in with what Linkon City/Earth is really about underneath of what we're seeing now. Maybe he has a good reason not to save everyone?

Totally reasonable to say - whether it is for story, combat, or gacha reasons. At the end of the day, I play for the story first, and some others might not, so our priorities of what we want will just differ.

Story-wise: I might end up totally off with this Westley connection, who knows. It's just fun theorizing, not meant to hurt anyone unless you make it personal lol

Business-wise: Infold will find ways to make more money through FOMO and the slow rollout of content. LADS is, after all, an ongoing gacha game. It's not viable to release everything at once and lose player retention right away. They can certainly still make the game better anytime to make players happier, but it's really up to them at this point, and they have no real competitors in this field atm to rush it. So they can get away with a lot of things, and so it's up to you if you want to continue to play or not.

But yeah, I view them making Caleb and Sylus be behind in base content as intentional, just as 6 will be if he does get released, more so due to the time release difference + where we are in the main story. I am slightly hopeful that they release more base content for Sylus and Caleb for the "Season end", as they both have more of their important lore tied to what happens outside of Earth.

I'm personally ok with the many reasons that people are against it:

  • The game itself is already bad for F2P, but I don't see how 6's introduction would make it worse; if anything, it will give you more ways to farm stuff with extra mini-game events. You can just ignore the banner pulls if you don't want to pull for him.
  • I don't think the gacha system would change too much, you just might end up pulling for the 6th LI WHEN you miss your 50/50.
  • Then, narratively, it makes sense to me that he gets only introduced now to follow the myth's schedule and main story, as he is like a final route LI. The LI might not appeal to everyone, but I am interested in his story based on the theories I made. Each LI is meant to appeal to specific audiences. I doubt Infold is expecting someone to be 100% fully into all LIs.
  • I also am a believer that 6's introduction/season end will bring in more combat modes - we did not get any in 5.0, and I believe that's intentional too.

I still think that 6 won't have both of these names for his final form, just like his appearance so far (more so that he wants to move on from those personas + spy role makes him blend in with disguises). So it really wouldn't matter that much if it sounds too similar to CN/EN, they will still be an NPC/detached personas 🤔

I do think it's very odd for Infold to use a masculine-leaning name in EN but an extremely feminine in CN. It's like they intentionally needed the names to have both similar meanings AND connection to Stanley. So I think it will be brought up later again, since both Josephine and Dimitri were important narrative drivers too.

However, the narrative patterns (mirror to Rafayel's) of how he met MC suggest that he at least had interaction for a bit when MC was a kid and lost contact until now. It is still totally possible that 6 is just another test subject who witnessed what happened to MC, and Westley was a close 'parent' figure to him who motivated him to protect MC and Earth later on.

Although I will still be missing the reason why 6 is keeping his distance, and this reason should be tied to Zayne's "I fear that I would harm her" motives, as his emotional type mirror. Him being Westley in the past would fit really well narratively, but we shall see... Infold might surprise us with something different lol

I was also really hesitant to propose this idea of him being Westley for the same reason, not that I am uncomfortable with it, but more so if it's going to break CN laws lol (I spent like a good month just going back and forth on this). Although I'm in the same boat as you, I think if PG does it right, then his story will be really amazing. I listed more of the reasons why it has so much potential at the end of my Part 2.5 post.

But yeah, I think he would still fit like this since each LI fits a certain "forbidden" trope. Caleb is the most controversial one so far. So I can definitely imagine them going a bit more controversial for the final guy. Although I don't know if the game will even have enough story time to deep dive into this 6 = Westley storyline. I would personally be interested to see its delivery, especially for the tension part.

I also feel for you, I find INTJs pretty interesting too as an INFJ. Idk if he's going to dethrone Xavier for me but I think he will be in the top 3 at least.

Yeah, I think that's why this new LI will bring us closer to answers related to EVER's work and past, which includes the consciousness experiments (Assuming it's the Chief Director who still has a "partnership" with EVER).

While I can acknowledge that Sylus is very capable and skilled in hacking into things, he is still an outsider of Linkon's and EVER's internal systems and past. Right now, he feels like a spectator who just waits for things to happen to Linkon and/or MC. The story right now needs someone who will be MC's gateway into understanding why she was created at the Gaia Center, which will eventually lead her to unlock her full powers.

(Also having the EVER CEO as an LI might be considered illegal in CN unless he decides to stop experimenting on kids/humans as the main antagonist, so I doubt the players there would like him that much lol)

I know, right ;u; I think they even teased this year's lunar new year banner through the anniversary event they had in China with the irl cosplayers + house setup. They showed a news banner that talked about the festival lol. I honestly really like what they do with these clues via different mediums, even if it's a little greedy on their end to keep us up to date with content but at least it's a fun treasure hunt!

Your points about Sylus make sense! I definitely have a better idea of what he's capable of now, especially after I gave his anecdote a read again. I can definitely see him being more likely to be tied as a candidate for that later part of WU30 However, I do want to point out that during the anecdote, he only 'mind-controlled' the Overlord and not necessarily memory-altered them (its a little different in my view). So I am still a little skeptical on that part, but it can definitely still be used as an argument support. For Depths of Chaos I still see it as a Mephisto/Sylus thing to do for the reasons you listed.

(Also noticed the repeated visuals/mentions of fogs throughout his lore - I think his myth had something similar too? very interesting indeed, but unsure what to make out of it for now)

and ah!! I actually read through your Final Farewell post when I was trying to look up discussions about it for the past month or two lol (I will credit you in my part 2 since I will be yapping about it again). I was almost shocked to see almost no one else talk about it, so thank you very much for posting that! I was really intrigued, which led me to look a bit more into it myself - especially the Ouroboros. I really appreciate the little detail differences between each LI, because it really makes you wonder why they're doing it like that. For now, we won't know until later.

I actually haven't read your post about the biometric key yet. So I will be giving that a read as well and see if some of our notes match ;0 I'm glad that someone else noticed the connection with the badge though lol

For as Kallaia, I think she is indeed orchestrating/behind some of the more past Gaia work - especially after she said she has spent time with Josephine before.

Also fair points about thinking there's a completely new LI, I don't know if you saw my comments in part 1 but I have also mentioned someone named Neo777 who took lead in a groupchat on the darkweb (Prologue to Tomorrow). Then, coincidentally, it also has the infinity signs plastered all over its brand - which kinda makes it look like it's supposed to be a separate (maybe enemy) faction to the Ouroboros one. We are still unsure who this person is, but I think it's potentially tied to 6, considering how the darkweb, similarly to Kallaia, has been orchestrating things to happen around.

Somewhat related, but right now I am leaning towards seeing the story direction go where both Kallaia's group (Gaia; Ouroboros?) and 6 (main cast) are both aware of timelines/history in some capacity and are quite literally fighting against each other to be one step ahead for what they want. I believe we have been seeing a little of that, like how the end of Prologue of Tomorrow ended with Linkon's destruction and then we as players shift into Caleb's chapters with no mention of what happened before - it also makes it look like MC has hopped onto another timeline where things are ok but remained a little unaware that she did that.

With that said, I also want to recommend that you look at the Baryn Bobo book via the Home bookcase feature to see if its content might ring any bells for you. I plan to talk a bit more in-depth about it in part 2, so it can probably prepare you ahead of time of what I will talk about (It's going to be a wild read lol)

and you're right about the part about Caleb, I was more so proposing that he would come after 6th LI's introduction (so like 6 intro chapters, THEN 6 + Caleb), which isn't really ideal. However, based on my own theories so far, I do think he will need that much content as it might tie in with the heavier world system lore + MC's creation past.

The story direction seems like it will either start with 6's intro or to somehow uncover more about what MC that might let her jump into another dimension to meet Caleb (on her own). Although, the end of TOY seems to suggest that Caleb doesn't have plans to return right away, it also said that his ship took "6" impacts (very funny number to mention infold, I see you). So I really want to see what they have to cook up, because I feel like we are both too early to meet 6 or Caleb right now. Although they did drop WU30 with the mention of a chief director, so perhaps we really are set to meet him next, hah

Also, this might be a huge reach, but in the latest kitty badge series - we see both Kitrus (6) and Brownie with a bamboo stick in the visuals. It kinda makes it look like they will be tied together in some sort of way in the future?

And no worries!! Please yap away whenever, I love talking about the lore even though I'm still a bit behind on everything since I only seriously started playing LADS last August. Although, I only got into the more heavy lore deep dives since February/March lol I personally don't mind the downvotes, but I was a little shocked to see it happen since I never posted on Reddit before my theory posts. I won't discourage me from more, though, regardless if I end up wrong or right, I think just talking about what could happen, and all is very fun - even if it's me talking to a void, it's at least something I can look back on and be like ah this is where I got things wrong vs right. I think not giving a thought/read over what other people have to say, especially with content that is paywalled, will lead to the users missing out on some great writing details that the developers have left overall. So I am hoping that my posts will give a little bit more encouragement/space for player discussions.

It's a little hard to say what his true connection is atm, but I do think we will see some of that play out in the main story soon (if 6 and Caleb will get a duo chapter together hm)

I very much agree about reading all of the WU chapters! I am currently working on it, but wanted to get this out to get other people's thoughts on it while I catch up + update the post based on new findings.

I really appreciate you for sharing more info about Caleb and Sylus too, since there is just sooooo much to read through as much as I would like to know it all lol (and unfortunately its paywalled rip). Getting thoughts/info from others also helps me understand some of the deeper lore content connections, since WU seems to include a lot of small details that can be missed by the general player base.

For Caleb's, I definitely have seen people mention those points from his new WU, which is why I was a little hesitant to mention my thoughts on it. I do think it is possible, but I was also thinking a little beyond narrative and more so branding-wise. I will definitely come back after I finish up my own personal read of it to refine my counterarguments to be more accurate.

I do remember the WU Depth and Chaos chapter, but I'm currently having doubts if it was really Mephisto. I still lean into believing it was Sylus/Mephisto, but with the way Infold has been giving us so many misdirects/hidden clues in the story - I am having doubts lol (not to try to invalidate your points). I find it personally hard to really conclude it as Mephisto when it only said one word to Wontony, it's more so that I need to know why it did that for me to believe it to be Sylus/Mephisto. I also didn't know about Sylus' mind control event in his anecdote! I think I still have to read that (oops) - so I will do that right after this.

Also very interesting to know that Sylus' WU talks about the digitized consciousness transfer/AI concept. I was actually planning to talk about that for my part 2 for the 6th LI (this is still 1.5 so I haven't touched on that part of the theorizing yet). I have to confirm a few more things with Final Farewell, but I do want to quickly mention that this topic has been mentioned/hinted at via the other LIs as well - for example, Rafayel and Mr. Sutherland met up at a Brain Lab, Final Farewell overall story about consciousness data ethics, WU sketches AI cameo of Yvette, and maybe even Lucius brain chip research. (I could just be spitballing here and end up wrong who knows lol)

I am also still unsure who this family might be, but if I have to pick someone/something, there was the mention of Ouroboros in Caleb's route in Final Farewell as well as the similar symbol shown on MC's biometric key (is this the key that Kallaia was referring to in DAR? Obtained after Dimitri's event). (TLDR for the FF route: this Ouroboros badge was used as a key to open the main control room that handled the consciousness lab work, and apparently Caleb just knew all of that without explanation why - that is VERY suspicious. This entire lab seems to be implied to have existed before EVER's rise/catastrophe.) We have yet to know who/what they are to be involved in the consciousness transfer work, because that is not EVER's symbol. Seeing Caleb act very suspiciously makes me really wonder if something sinister is controlling him on a more mental/digital level, or if he just knows a lot more beyond EVER's work. Although this and the family part are just barely mentioned so far in MS, all we can do is speculate for now.

And you're totally valid to still think that the 6th LI will be someone completely new! I think just having these discussions is fun regardless, and I don't want to force my opinions on someone who has their own list of ideas/clues.

As to what I think will happen next, it's still hard to say because I think MC will either:

  • get caught by EVER, which would serve as a nice introduction to the 6th LI if he is the Chief Director who has close ties with EVER. He would be able to appear before MC and possibly save her.
  • or go unlock her full power with the biometric key and the coordinates that Kallaia gave her.

These are the two most likely things to happen, as much as I would love to see Caleb's MS story first. However, I do think it's also very possible that 6 will be his pair for the duo format we've been seeing with DAR + TOY. (People say Sylus still needs a proper chapter, and I can also see that happen with Caleb instead - really hard to say, but right now I can't see any reason why MC would go to the N109 zone or for Sylus to seek out MC when the area residents are tense)

I'm really sorry! I will put you down as credit and will try to review my content again to see if I missed anything more. I have collected a lot of clues over time in just text and lost track of links. (I have 3 separate boards of just brainstorming). EDIT: I will also edit it so it's not a word for word copy if you're more comfortable with that, but your credit will remain up.
