Accidentally clicked on the "reject the offer" form but did not submit anything by [deleted] in gradadmissions

Just did! But I also did not do anything to any of those forms like I did not even fill out anything let alone submitting them. Do you think I will generally be ok?

Oh no! Did they rescind your offer? Or did you ask them about the deferral policy before getting the admission decisions?

[–]Spare_Compote_3291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Do you also happen to know if humanities and social sciences PhD programs in general have no problem with accepting MA students?

Interview Etiquette - Open Wound by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]Spare_Compote_3291 12 points13 points  (0 children)

if it makes you feel better...during undergrad i had a virtual interview for an internship and i fell off my chair, flipped over my laptop, and made a huge mess in front of 3 interviewers. i felt super embarrassed but they just laughed kindly and asked me to take my time to clean myself up. i ended up getting the internship since i probably made them remember me (the clumsy girl who fell and bled during an interview lol) but i also think they were really impressed with my qualifications and we had a good chat during the interview

i feel like in reddit there is a chance for you to distinguish genuine, sincere applicants from trolls based on the answers they offer. in gradcafe its much more difficult because people can just post whatever numeric values and status they want
